Product Support Engineer

For more information, visit www.everonsolutions.com or follow us on LinkedIn. **Position Summary:** The Product Support Engineer is responsible for testing and validating CCTV, Access Control, network equipment to ensure product reliability, performance, and compliance with industry standards. This role involves designing and executing test plans for cameras, NVR’s, Access Control hardware and software, routers, switches, Wi-Fi, and related security products in both lab and real-world environments **Duties and Responsibilities:** + Conduct comprehensive testing of CCTV, Access Control and network hardware and software, including IP cameras, recorders, VMS platforms, routers, switches, wireless access points, and mobile apps. + Develop and execute test plans, scripts, and procedures to evaluate product functionality, compatibility, and reliability. + Perform stress, regression, integration, and field simulation tests to identify defects and performance issues. + Analyze test results, document issues, and collaborate with R&D and engineering teams to resolve defects. + Validate firmware and software updates prior to release. + Ensure compliance with relevant standards (e.g., ONVIF, NDAA, UL, TCP/IP, VLAN, VPN, SNMP, QoS). + Maintain accurate testing records and prepare detailed reports on test outcomes and recommendations. + Support product certification efforts and assist with user documentation where technical input is required. + Participate in product development discussions and provide feedback for improvements based on test results. + Other duties as assigned. **Qualifications:** _Education:_ Bachelor’s degree in Electronics, Computer Engineering, Information Technology, or related field (or equivalent experience). _Experience:_ 2–5 years in a product testing, QA, or technical role—preferably in the security, electronics, or surveillance industry. **Technical Skills:** + Strong understanding of CCTV systems (IP & analog), Access Control (controllers, readers, PIN pads, smart locks), networking (TCP/IP, PoE, VLANs), and video codecs (H.264/H.265). + Strong understanding of networking concepts (IPv4/IPv6, VLANs, routing, NAT, DHCP, DNS, VPN). + Ability to configure and troubleshoot Layer 2/3 devices. + Hands-on experience with test equipment and network tools (Wireshark, protocol analyzers, etc.). + Familiarity with firmware testing and software validation + _Soft Skills:_ Attention to detail, analytical thinking, communication skills, and ability to work cross-functionally. **Benefits:** Medical, Dental and vision insurance Paid Time Off 401(k) plan with company matching contribution Supplemental Voluntary Benefits Tuition Reimbursement Employee Referral Program Employee Discount Program Equal Opportunity Employer/Protected Veterans/Individuals with Disabilities This employer is required to notify all applicants of their rights pursuant to federal employment laws.
