Product Stewardship Analyst

The Product Stewardship Analyst supports the Canadian Tire Product Environmental Stewardship team by ensuring compliance across a variety of Environmental Stewardship programs. In this role, you will be the vendor liaison, as well as the subject matter expert for internal teams with respect to products subject to provincial environmental stewardship regulations. As the point person for the Product Environmental Stewardship (PES) team, other strategic business units & vendors. You also provide guidance and information on product categories impacted by provincial Extended Producer Responsibility regulations for all Canadian Tire strategic business units.
What you’ll do
+ Create and execute implementation plans based regulations (product research, meeting with impacted stakeholders, etc.)
+ Effectively communicate for different audiences
+ Monthly Reporting to internal departments and external agencies, ensuring timely and accurate completion of reporting cycle.
+ Researching regulatory requirements and identifying impacted CT product categories by analyzing product features
+ Ensure that suitable products are identified, classified and loaded in our systems in a timely manner
What you bring
+ 2-3 years operational audit experience a strong asset
+ You have enough experience working with data to feel at ease performing validations and sanity checks.
+ Comfortable in analyzing data, summarizing and presenting recommendations and supporting evidence.
+ Previous experience within regulatory compliance audit procedures an asset
+ Possess a high level of independent judgement and discretion required to do your work. Action oriented, and comfortable taking calculated risks to better serve our business
+ Willing to actively seek resources (knowledge, software, inter-departmental resources) required to understand company processes and effectively problem solve.
+ Intermediate to advanced MS Office skills in Excel and Access to effectively handle large amounts of data and provide timely analysis using queries, formula in a coherent format.
