Purpose of Role: The Product Specialist fulfils a technical sales and service function that is responsible for application and proposal engineering, technical selling, conducting site services and inspections, and supporting branch Managers to grow the sales of the Vulco Mill Liner product line in accordance with company policies and procedures.

Key Responsibilities:

Technical Support and Troubleshooting: Provide internal and external technical support, conduct site visits and troubleshooting, and assist the wider Weir community with technical issues.Strategic Planning and Market Development: Implement product strategic plans, gather market intelligence, identify and develop new markets, contribute to product and strategic planning to meet budget goals, and support budgets, sales, and marketing forecasts.Customer and Industry Engagement: Deliver technical presentations, build relationships with customers (end users and design houses), assist with tenders and pricing, compile trial proposals and support sales submissions, and provide commissioning assistance to branch networks.Product Development, Compliance, and Mentorship: Contribute to new product development and concept designs, ensure compliance with HSE and housekeeping standards, and uphold the Duty of Care Policy at all times.Safety First: Demonstrate 100% commitment to our zero harm behaviors in support of our drive towards developing a world class safety culture.

Job Knowledge/Education and Qualifications:

A bachelor’s degree (Chemical / Metallurgical / Mechanical Engineering).6 years of experience in a mining/manufacturing environment.Computer Literate (Advanced MS Office Suite, ERP Software, In-house selection software).Computer Literate – Advanced MS Office Suite, ERP Software, In-house selection software.Proficiency in understanding and interpreting engineering/Technical drawings, previous Mill Liner experience and mill installation experience.
