Reporting to the Commercial Solutions Lead, Roche Diagnostics Australia is looking for a Mass Spectrometry Product Specialist. As a Product Specialist, you are responsible to support the execution of the commercial strategy for Roche Mass Spectrometry across both Australia and New Zealand. Working closely with the Solutions (Product) Manager and Sales & Applications Teams, you will provide subject matter expertise to support in the delivery of Roche solutions to our customers.
This role is expected to support both Roche Diagnostics Australia 75%, as well as Roche Diagnostics New Zealand, 25%.
Key responsibilities include:
Technical Subject Matter Expert for Roche Mass Spectrometry solutions
Engage with the customer during the sales process and bringing the projects through planning, implementation, testing and into a live system.
Lead product evaluations and support the Service team in IT and service-related issues remotely or at customer sites.
Deliver software upgrades and being involved in site system design and implementations.
Provide consultation on solutions, regulatory compliance, and the implementation of Mass Spectrometry products to ensure the goals and objectives of Roche products are installed and integrated
Support the Sales and Marketing team in Mass Spectrometry products during sales/marketing visits when required.
Support workflow consulting activities that include the documentation of existing layout and laboratory processes, and a proposal for the future using appropriate visualization and simulations tools e.g. turnaround time (TAT) reports/simulations, laboratory layout, laboratory process mapping.
Understand and translate the features of Roche Mass Spectrometry solutions into customer oriented benefits communication.
Provide product presentation, demonstration and end-user trainings/workshops.
Provide second level troubleshooting and training assistance to Application Specialists, Field Service Engineers and customers for all Roche Instrumentation.
Who You Are:
Relevant degree or diploma in Science/Laboratory Science with special emphasis on Mass Spectrometry.
At least 5 years’ experience working in related fields within the Australian Medical Diagnostic Industry.
Demonstrated Laboratory experience in Mass Spectrometry
Clear understanding of the business and technology strategies in which the organization operates.
Strong knowledge of the Mass Spectrometry discipline including local guidelines and regulations
Good Experience in training personnel
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
Strong customer empathy & interaction skills.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple projects.
Availability to travel locally, regionally, nationally and internationally as required.
Able to build and maintain strong internal and external partnerships
Excellent interpersonal skills and collaborative mindset
Customer service orientated and a result focused professional with very good business acumen
