The Difference You Make:

Structured Finance specializes in originating, advising, and structuring financing for specific large-scale, long-term projects for corporate and government clients. Projects can include energy exploration, production and transmission, Infrastructure, Digital Infrastructure, and Real Estate.

Within Structured Finance, the Tax Equity Financing business is responsible for proprietary tax equity investments and other tax credit financing transactions. The Product Specialist - Structured Finance - IC5 in the Tax Equity Financing business will be a member of deal teams leading the origination, execution and day-to-day and distribution/syndication of tax equity and tax credit financing transactions that meet Santander’s profitability, risk targets, and support the firm’s strategic objectives:  

Preparation of marketing materials and proposalsCalling on clients, making presentationsStructuring transactions, research, analysis of existing or potential transactions and/or industriesAssist and oversee negotiating mandatesReviewing legal documents and negotiating transactions with clients, analyzing various risks and preparing credit applications and the development of cash flow modelsParticipates in transaction due diligenceResearching and analyzing industries and market dataParticipating in strategic planning and business management for the tax equity business

Bachelor's Degree or equivalent work experience in Finance, Business, Accounting, Engineering, or Economics or equivalent work experience3+ years of relevant professional work experienceBetween 1-3+ years of experience in commercial banking or finance industry with strong credit analysis experience.  Exposure in thermal energy, oil and gas, midstream, renewable or infrastructure debt or equity transactions is preferred but not required depending on credit analysis or prior project finance experience. Significant experience in the analysis and structuring of highly complex transactions, including project-oriented energy financingsMust have exposure to analyzing and negotiating transaction documentsMust have detailed direct experience of modelling and execution tax equity financing transactions in respect of both Investment and Production tax creditsAbility to influence and drive complex initiatives and manage logistics with internal stakeholders Strong credit and risk analysis skillsAbility to travel as requiredStrong analytical / problem solving skillsStrong relationship management and negotiation skillsExcellent written and verbal communications skillsSuperior organizational and time management skills with the ability to efficiently work on several priorities at a timeAbility to work in a fast-paced environment with little supervisionProficiency in Microsoft Office products

What Else You Need To Know:

The base pay range for this position is posted below and represents the annualized salary range. For hourly positions (non-exempt), the annual range is based on a 40-hour work week. The exact compensation may vary based on skills, experience, training, licensure and certifications and location.

Base Pay Range

Minimum:

$131,250.00 USD

Maximum:

$225,000.00 USD
