As a Product Scientist within the CTO Genomic Medicine organization organization at Cytiva, you will be an integral member of a passionate team at the forefront of automating biological cell processing. You will be responsible for managing the technical compliance of the cell processing portfolio in strong collaboration with cross-functional stakeholders and in this role you will be leading various activities such as investigating customer complaints, performing root cause investigation, identifying corrective and preventive actions working with multidisciplinary teams and customers, performing verification and validation activities, market support activities and performing trending analysis and reporting.

What you’ll do

Represent R&D in the complaint handling investigation team. Conduct thorough investigations, data analysis, and experimental testing to identify root causes. Evaluate findings and formulate corrective action plans.Collaborate with multidisciplinary R&D teams (engineering and biological team matter experts) to resolve product quality-related issues and drive for continuous product improvement.Act as a liaison between departments such as QA, Manufacturing, and Product Management to ensure effective communication and resolution of customer requests.Build strong relationships with customer support, field engineers, field application specialists, and end-users (Biotech and Pharma). Enhance product knowledge across customer-facing teams and support market-facing initiatives.Lead efforts to master and improve internal processes, tools, and documentation. Drive efficiency in change control and CAPA processes, ensuring compliance with ISO9001 and other QMS standards.Provide regular updates on customer feedback, CAPA trends, and progress. Use insights to support product evolution and strategic decision-making.Write technical documentation including root cause investigation, test plan and report, and user technical documentation for a wide range of target audience.Support internal and external quality audits and contribute to market support programs as needed.Ensure timely delivery of tasks, foster effective communication, resolve conflicts constructively, and promote a collaborative environment across cross-functional teams.

Who you are

Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in physics, engineering, or life sciences with 5 years of relevant experience, or a Ph.D. with a minimum of 2 years of experience.Demonstrated experience working on complex products within cross-functional teams, integrating engineering disciplines such as hardware, software, and single-use technologies, combined with a solid background in life sciences or medical sector.Technical knowledge of cell culture methods, especially in the context of immunology, is a plusExpertise in statistical methods and tools for qualitative and quantitative data analysis.Demonstrated ability to investigate and troubleshoot issues with critical thinking, analytical rigor, and attention to detail.Excellent oral and written communication skills, with a track record of effective collaboration across global, cross-cultural, and cross-functional teams.Familiarity with ISO 9001 and cGMP standardsCustomer-oriented mindset, autonomous at work, good organizational skills, creative, and comfortable with changeFluent in English, a second language is a plus
