As a part of our legal team, you’ll help uphold Apple’s high ethical and corporate standards and provide legal support for all our products across the globe. You’ll work with Apple’s engineering, operations, and marketing teams to help create and introduce Apple products to the world. With passion, dedication, and a desire to tackle challenges, you will play a crucial role as we provide the legal support needed for Apple to continue to build cutting-edge technologies.
**Description**
You will join a team of attorneys who advise Apple’s product integrity, engineering, customer support, operations, marketing, regulatory compliance, and risk management teams on a wide range of issues. This is an opportunity to apply your skills in a non-litigation setting, broaden your advisory range, and forge creative solutions to help the company mitigate risk, resolve disputes, and manage regulatory compliance. You will support various functional groups with legal guidance on product integrity and compliance issues arising in new product development. You’ll strategize, draft, and coordinate responses to agency inquiries, investigations, and document requests. You’ll support AppleCare, Executive Relations, and Risk Management in resolving customer issues, and manage outside counsel in the investigation, defense, and resolution of pre-litigation claims. You will also advise Apple management on risk allocation/mitigation, business strategies, and policies.
**Minimum Qualifications**
+ JD degree or equivalent and admission to at least one US state bar
+ 2+ years of experience in product liability litigation and/or product safety regulatory investigations
**Preferred Qualifications**
+ Experience with product counseling, consumer law, and product regulatory issues
+ Ability to handle your own high-volume workload on day-to-day matters
+ Ability to prioritize and handle multiple range of matters supporting multiple cross-functional teams
+ Ability to distill complex legal concepts into practical guidance for non-lawyers
+ Crisp and clear communication style
+ Ability to advise executive management, and facilitate teamwork by cultivating relationships, counseling, collaborating, and effectively communicating with teammates and cross-functional partners
+ Positive attitude
+ Ability to see beyond the precise question asked to larger issues and implications
