•Define quality targets for our segment of hand tools; approve project quality targets
•Align local for local quality targets with our global quality strategy for hand tools
•Release of project charters, Project Management Plan, Additional Launch Announcements
•Escalate critical quality events and potential serious complaints
•Quality Assurance in Project and Engineering Changes (Independent evaluation of product-/process maturity)
•Responsible for all product quality related tasks during the product life cycle
•Able to develop test plans and approval criteria for various kind of hand tools
•Quality support to purchase quality department in series production
•Complaint Management (internal & External), TRCs and MRCs and the related deviation management
•Deviation management, e.g. concessions, problem solving, 8D reports (or equivalent) with relevance for the product
•Provides consistent information on product quality to the central head office for hand tools and other stakeholders
•Applies quality guidelines, procedures and standards for our local for local hand tool business India
Qualifications•Bachelor’s in Mechanical/Industrial/Manufacturing Engineering (Master’s preferred)
•Minimum 3-8 years experience of supplier quality management in a manufacturing/industrial product environment
•Knows Quality Management Methods (DFMEA, Capability Analysis, Statistics, Product Validation, QFD)
•Experience in Quality Project Management
and Problem Solving
•High affinity for hand tools industry and willingness to build up knowledge about applications
Additional Information§Familiarity with relevant quality standards (ISO 9001, IATF 16949 or equivalent) and supplier compliance systems
§Strong skills in quality tools/methodologies (SPC, FMEA, control plan, 8D), comfortable with drawing/specification review, statistical metrics, supplier KPI dashboards
§Excellent communication, leadership, analytical skills, and ability to work cross-functionally and influence supplier base
