About the team

Within the Surveillance & Multi-Mission segment, which is part of the Thales Naval organization we are looking for an experienced Product Project Manager. The Surveillance & Multi-Mission segment is responsible for assuring all activities related to the development and delivery of our Naval and Ground based radar systems to our customers.

About your future job

As Product Project Manager (PPM) you lead a (core) team consisting of the Engineering Delivery Manager (who is managing the engineering Work Packages), Industry Work Package Manager (including supply chain, production and test & integration), Procurement Project Manager and ILS Work Package Manager. As PPM you are responsible for the setup and execution of the Product Projects in close cooperation with the deputy Product Line Manager. Your role includes coordinating across departments to remove obstacles, facilitating communication, and driving the project towards on-time delivery, within budget, and to the agreed quality standards. You work with the Bid and Sales team to ensure that customer requirements are accurately captured and translated into clear project objectives, enabling successful project bids and alignment between customer expectations and project execution. You also collaborate closely with these teams to develop realistic schedules, resource plans, and budgets, ensuring the commercial viability of each project.

As Product Project Manager you are responsible for:

Management of the full development cycle, including the industrialization and series production phases up-to delivery to the end-customerManage the Integrated Product team towards excellence in performanceProvide a controlled and predictable execution of the ProgramAre responsible for contact with, and reporting to the relevant stakeholders (product segment management, (external) project management)Contribute to reviews, evaluations and product road map activities

You have proven experience with working in a technical environment and affinity with technical products. Product Project Manager you:

Have senior experience in Project Management of (complex) projectsHave a good skillset in project management methodsHave the ability to overview complex situations and to manage multi-task environmentsHave excellent leadership skillsHave some knowledge in radar engineering and productionAre strong in motivating and structuring members of all levelsExcellent communication skillsAre fluent in English

IPMA certifications is a plus
