In collaboration with end users and the development team, you’ll recommend and implement solutions, while also providing user training and ongoing support.

In addition, you’ll serve as the primary point of contact for managing corporate strategic projects, ensuring their successful delivery in alignment with PMO methodology and compliance standards. This role focuses on process improvement, problem-solving, and project management, requiring strong organizational skills, time management, and confidence in leading cross-functional teams. With a customer-centric approach, you’ll apply Design Thinking, Waterfall, and Agile methodologies to deliver high-quality solutions that enhance both the user experience and business outcomes.Key Accountabilities:Project Coordination – 70% Support the entire lifecycle of specific projects, ranging from strategic planning initiatives to tactical activities.Develop, manage and control project schedules by updating and communicating timelines with the working team.Follow up on outstanding tasks, manage/mitigate risks in the project escalating issues if and when necessary.Leveraging ‘Stage-Gate’ approach to projects where applicable.Schedule meetings with internal groups and external vendors as needed.Facilitate meetings, document the minutes of the discussion, communicate in a timely manner, and follow up on actions for completeness prior to the next meeting.Assist in establishing a Project Charter for the specified project, defining the project's goals, objectives, risks, assumptions, staffing levels, roles and responsibilities, work breakdown structure, milestones, and deliverables.Document project requirements and scope, project resources, and monitor the efforts of project team members.Efficient delivery of project deliverables, effective quality control, clear communication of expectations to stakeholders and upward reporting to senior management.Conduct project postmortems to identify areas for improvement; make recommendations based on findings.Closely monitor the efforts and billing of third-party workers such as consultants, contractors, and other specialists.Conduct cost-benefit analyses, risk analyses, and ROI calculations to determine project feasibility.Promote and use the Software Requirement Specification (SRS) for relevant projects.Perform other duties as requiredProduct Solutions Development (30% of weekly time)Conduct interviews with business users to understand their situation and potential needsAnalyze user feedback to define the problem that needs to be solvedCreate ideas to solve the identified problems and solicit user feedback on potential solutionsBased on user feedback create solutions that can be tested with the end user until a user and business approved solution is createdAct as the primary contact between business end users and product developersInvestigate IT errors in consultation with programmers to test modifications and develop solutions prior to moving to productionPartner with IT peers and team to provide training and assistance to business users including helping them understand the who, what, where, why, how and when functions and/or systems are not performing as expectedCoordinate with project managers and change management teams on a variety of corporate projects that require IT solutionsDevelop and maintain process documentation for new system or product implementationsProvide application support for business end users (including TMW)Continuous innovation and skill developmentContinuous learning by self-training and increasing the digital analytics IQ enhancements for the organization in the following areas:Process Mining/ Process MappingProject managementChange management.SQL & Data ManagementProcess StandardizationSix Sigma PracticesPerform other duties as requiredWhat You Need To Be Successful In This Role:University or Community College education in Tech relevant major 1-2 years of related experience (including experience in an analytical or process-oriented position, or experience in a technical helpdesk position)ERP implementation experience is an assetSQL database querying and configuration is an assetProject Management Professional (PMP) and/or Disciplined Agile Scrum Certification may be advantageousTransportation experience / knowledge or a strong interest in network / capacity optimization may be beneficial.Scrum master experience may be advantageousAdvanced Microsoft Office skills, in-depth knowledge of Excel required.Knowledge of Smartsheet required.Required Skills: Time management skills: ability to prioritize and comfortable handling competing priorities.Strong attention to detail.Strong interpersonal and learning skillsAble to be resourceful and seek out answers via learning forums and GoogleHighly developed written and verbal communication skills, with the potential interest to prepare and deliver presentationsAbility to apply critical thinking and problem solvingAbility to translate client requirements or Use cases to actual working solutionsHow To Apply:If you are looking to join a premier transportation company, and become an integral part of results oriented team who constantly challenge themselves to Go The Distance for our customers and for each other, the role of Product Project Expert may be right for you.
