Job Summary
Caterpillar’s E&T Procurement organization plays a critical role in supporting all divisions within Energy and Transportation. Our work is geared towards our pistons of Predictable Supply Excellence, Optimized Total Cost of Ownership, Supplier Relationship Management and Lifecycle Sourcing Strategy. We continue to develop suppliers who competitively deliver operational excellence, enabling our customers to build a better world. With a strong focus on data-driven decision-making and operational efficiency, E&T Procurement leverages advanced tools and processes to connect the physical and digital supply chain, enabling business units to deliver high-performance solutions that meet evolving customers and business needs.
In this role, you will be supporting Large Power Systems Division (LPSD) by driving strategic sourcing and supply chain excellence across key drivetrain systems, including axles, transmissions, and final drives—as well as large engine platforms such as the C27/C32 through the 3600 series, including MWM. These components have a wide range of heavy-duty Caterpillar machines and industrial applications around the world.
What You Will Do:
Actively coordinate data and supply performance metrics to ensure alignment with operational goals.
Utilize the Caterpillar systems including the Enterprise Digital Order Fulfillment (EDOF) system to extract and analyze reports for actionable insights.
Analyze assurance of supply data from multiple sources to identify potential risks and opportunities.
Generate concise, targeted reports to highlight supply issues and collaborate with Category Procurement Teams and suppliers on Root Cause and Corrective Action (RCCA) initiatives.
Develop and maintain Power BI dashboards to monitor supply health and performance trends.
Assess forecast versus capacity and identify supply vulnerabilities (e.g., single-source dependencies, regional risks) to inform Category Procurement Strategies and proactively mitigate gaps.
Lead and coordinate procurement activities for LPSD New Product Introductions, from APQP launch through purchase order issuance.
Support New Source Introduction efforts to ensure supplier readiness and cost-effective execution for LPSD platforms.
Engage in Aftermarket Campaigns and Overhaul Schedules to ensure timely communication with Category Procurement Teams.
Maintain focus on timely supply and forecasted gaps, with a strong ability to drive RCCA processes.
Proactively escalate and communicate Business Unit-specific requirements, market conditions, and challenges to the Category Procurement Team
Attendance in senior leader meetings to communicate business requirements, with documented action items as appropriate
Provide E&T Procurement representation for BU requirements at supplier visits with ability to document and escalate issues upward
Availability for process partner visits as needed providing details on supply constraints and corrective action / recovery details.

Summary Pay Range:
$110,520.00 - $165,840.00Compensation and benefits offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, job level, market location, job-related knowledge, skills, individual performance and experience. Please note that salary is only one component of total compensation at Caterpillar.
