The NOW Agile Release Train, part of ASML Core IT Platform & Enabling Services, is dedicated to delivering secure, scalable and high-performing solutions on the ServiceNow platform, ensuring the highest standards of security and compliance. The ART operates according to SAFe (Scaled Agile Framework) principles and aligns cross-functional teams around shared quarterly goals through structured Program Increments (PIs), enabling synchronized planning, execution, and continuous improvement. The ART is composed of five specialized agile teams, supporting over 74,000 users and nearly 1,000 applications, delivering features with high predictability and quality. The NOW ART fosters a culture of transparency, collaboration and technical excellence making it an ideal environment for professionals passionate about platform engineering and enterprise-scale impact.
Role and responsibilities
As Product Owner of the Security Team in the NOW Platform ART, you will play a crucial role in safeguarding ASML’s ServiceNow environment by leading platform security initiatives. You'll drive compliance, resilience, and secure development practices across the platform, ensuring alignment with regulatory standards and internal governance.
You'll create the team roadmap and vision in collaboration with customers, team members and Leading Coalition. You'll work together with the CPO to prepare the program backlog, vision and priorities for the next PI, you refine and prepare your team’s backlog. Together with your team you ensure you create most value for ASML through the features you deliver.
You take end-to-end responsibility of your Agile team deliverables using ASML security guidelines as well as data driven decision makers. By ensuring that your team backlog is visible, transparent and clear for all your stakeholders you will stay in control and drive collaboration within and outside the ART. You'll continuously align with the leading coalition and are able to adapt the course of your roadmap based on new insights. As Product Owner Security you'll:
Security Strategy & Compliance: Define and execute platform security strategy aligned with NIS2, SOX, and ITGC standards. Ensure continuous compliance through audits, policy enforcement and alignment with regulatory frameworks
Security Testing & Remediation: Lead biannual penetration tests and remediation plans and track resolution of audit findings
Secure Development & Integration: Promote secure coding practices, enforce Role-Based Access Control (RBAC), and guide the transition from Basic Auth to OAuth
Platform Hardening: Design and implement advanced security features such as Security Data Filters and Glide Record Secure to enhance access control and traceability. Continuously assess and improve platform resilience against unauthorized access and data leakage
Incident Response & Monitoring: Expand log onboarding for SecOps, MSH, and IRM to improve visibility and threat detection. Lead disaster recovery exercises and monitor for emerging vulnerabilities
Stakeholder Engagement: Publish monthly security newsletters with updates, best practices, and actionable tips to foster a security-first culture. Act as a primary advisor for platform security questions
Delivery & Quality Assurance: Ensure timely delivery of platform features and improvements with a strong focus on security, reliability, and quality
Education and experience
To help us tackle the technical challenges we face, you’ll need experience working on High Tech products and with complex processes. As Product Owner Security, you’ll need:
At least a Bachelor or Master degree in Business Administration, Computer Science, Engineering, or related fields with 5-10 years of proven experience in a Security, Audit or Risk Management role
A deep understanding of security standards and principles, including NIS2, SOX, and ITG
Familiarity with ServiceNow platform and Identity & Access Management (IAM) is a strong advantage
Experience handling privacy-sensitive data and ensuring data protection compliance
Experience with Incident Management and Vulnerability Management processes
Knowledge of SAFe methodology and Agile delivery practices
Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
A proactive mindset with focus for innovation, continuous improvement, and customer-centricity
