Compensation includes a base salary of $79,400.00 - $119,000.00. The base salary may vary within the anticipated base pay range based on factors such as the ultimate location of the position and the selected candidate’s knowledge, skills, and abilities. Position may be eligible for additional compensation that may include an incentive program.

Job Description

NextGear Capital is seeking a passionate and data-driven Product Owner II to join our Borrower Risk Management agile release train. This role will focus on enhancing our risk mitigation capabilities through data-centric product development. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver solutions that improve borrower risk assessment, drive operational efficiency, and align with our strategic roadmap.

Key Responsibilities

Partner with Product Managers and User Experience to understand and influence product strategy and roadmap for borrower risk mitigation.Supporting release train and scrum teams in product increment (PI) planning, defect prioritization and backlog management.Generate ideas for enhancing performance and achieving KPIs.Collaborating with scrum teams to build, enhance and manage products.Managing stakeholder engagement, addressing problems, managing resolutions and collecting feedback.Defining and managing scoping, requirements and prioritization activities, ensuring adherence to standards and traceability.Coordinating with other agile product managers to deliver on a vision that crosses multiple delivery streams or release trains.Leading projects, identifying and managing risks, applying appropriate project management methods and ensuring project closure and review.Conducting analysis and performance monitoring for specified products, supporting problem resolution and contributing to product launches.

Qualifications

A bachelor’s degree and 2 years of experience in a related field.  The right candidate could also have a different combination, such as a master’s degree and up to 2 years of experience; or 6 years’ experience in a related field. Working knowledge of SAFe Agile methodology.The ability to translate data into quantifiable actions or deliverables.Experience in design, development and implementation of product plans.Experience in full product lifecycle methodologies.Experience creating, prioritizing and recommending epics and featuresSkilled in backlog management, user story creation, and Agile ceremonies.Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills.

Preferred Skills

Ability to translate complex data requirements into clear product features.Experience and strong understanding of risk management principles, preferably in financial services or lending.Experience working with data products, analytics platforms, or risk scoring systems.
