We are seeking an experienced **Product Owner** to lead the strategy, delivery, and lifecycle management of Oracle-based enterprise data products in support of our hospital system’s operational and strategic objectives. This role will partner closely with business stakeholders, data engineers, analysts, and governance teams to ensure our data platforms deliver **trusted, compliant, and actionable** data that drives better patient care, operational efficiency, and decision-making. The Product Owner will own the roadmap for Oracle data products, prioritize features, and ensure delivery aligns with business needs, compliance requirements, and enterprise data standards.
**Key Responsibilities:**
**Product Strategy & Roadmap**
+ Define and maintain the **vision, strategy, and roadmap** for Oracle-based data products, aligning with enterprise goals and departmental priorities.
+ Translate business needs into clear product objectives, measurable outcomes, and prioritized backlog items.
+ Collaborate with business and operational leaders to identify **high-value use cases** for data assets.
**Backlog & Delivery Management**
+ Maintain a well-groomed product backlog with user stories, acceptance criteria, and priorities.
+ Work closely with Data Engineering, Analytics, and Governance teams to ensure **timely and high-quality delivery** of product enhancements.
+ Ensure enterprise data products are **well-documented, discoverable, and consumable** by end-users.
**Stakeholder Engagement**
+ Act as the **primary liaison** between business users, technical teams, and leadership for data products.
+ Conduct regular stakeholder reviews to validate delivery against expectations.
+ Promote **data literacy and adoption** of data products across the organization.
**Data Quality, Compliance & Governance**
+ Partner with the Data Governance team to ensure data standards, definitions, and access controls are followed.
+ Monitor product performance and data quality, driving remediation where needed.
+ Ensure all data handling complies with HIPAA, HITECH, and hospital privacy/security policies.
**Continuous Improvement**
+ Stay informed on technology advancements, analytics trends, and healthcare data regulations.
**Required Qualifications:**
+ Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Data Management, Business, or related field (or equivalent experience).
+ **3+ years** experience as a Product Owner, Product Manager, or Business Analyst in a data-focused role.
+ Strong familiarity with **Agile Product Owner** skills.
+ Proven experience managing **enterprise-scale data products** from conception to delivery.
+ Strong understanding of **data governance, data quality, and metadata management** principles.
+ Excellent communication skills for engaging business, technical, and clinical stakeholders.
**Preferred Qualifications:**
+ Agile/Scrum Product Owner certification (CSPO or equivalent).
+ Familiarity with **EMR/EHR** data integrations.
+ Understanding of **HL7, FHIR, or other healthcare data standards** .
+ Experience with **self-service BI enablement** in Oracle or mixed-platform environments.
+ Strong familiarity with **Oracle Data Warehouse / Lake** solutions, Oracle Analytics, or related ERP platforms.
+ Experience in healthcare or other regulated industries is preferred but not required.
