Job Title: Product Owner, Lead – AI/ML - Healthcare Location: Reston, VA – HYBRID – onsite 2-3 days/week ( must be in commutable range) Role Type: Contract 12+ months (Strong potential for extension or permanent conversion) Purpose: We are seeking a seasoned Product Owner with a strong background in AI/ML, especially in Generative AI or Agentic AI, to join our innovation-focused healthcare team. This role requires a strategic and execution-oriented mindset, with the ability to bridge cutting-edge AI capabilities with business needs in a complex, regulated environment. You will lead cross-functional teams, guiding the development and delivery of AI-powered healthcare solutions that improve user experience, optimize backend technology, and provide measurable business value. Key Emphasis – What We’re Really Looking For: + Hands-on experience with Generative AI or Agentic AI (essential) + Strong Product Ownership and Agile leadership skills + Proven track record delivering AI-driven products in Healthcare or regulated industries + Deep understanding of digital tools, backend services, and cloud-based infrastructure Required Experience & Qualifications: + 6+ years as a Product Owner with strong execution skills and an understanding of strategic planning + Demonstrated experience with Generative AI or Agentic AI in real-world product implementations + Familiarity with AI/ML integration in healthcare, insurance, or health tech solutions + Hands-on experience with web portals, mobile apps, backend services, and cloud migration + Experience working with Google Analytics and/or other data tools for post-deployment analysis + Expertise in the full product lifecycle, from discovery through post-implementation + Agile/Scrum methodology expertise; Scrum Product Owner certification (required upon hire) + Strong stakeholder management in complex and regulated environments + Experience with Aha! for roadmap and backlog management + Bachelor’s degree in Product Management, Engineering, IT, or related field (or 4 additional years of experience in lieu) Preferred: + Previous Healthcare industry experience + Advanced degree (MBA, MS in Data Science, etc.) Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: + Ability to translate AI capabilities into business value + Strong understanding of product KPIs and data-driven decision-making + Strategic thinker with the ability to handle multiple priorities and fast-changing demands + Collaborative, proactive, and comfortable working in ambiguous, innovation-driven spaces Essential Functions: + Lead the development and innovation of AI-driven products across the portfolio + Collaborate with stakeholders to define and execute product releases + Conduct market research, validate AI opportunities, and define pricing strategies + Own the product roadmap and manage the backlog to prioritize development work + Engage directly with scrum teams, QA, and customers throughout the development cycle + Organize discovery workshops to validate product hypotheses + Drive adoption and conduct training for internal and external users System One, and its subsidiaries including Joulé, ALTA IT Services, and Mountain Ltd., are leaders in delivering outsourced services and workforce solutions across North America.
