Product Operations Lead

The Product Owner - Product Operations will collaborate with the Product Manager, UX, other product owners and engineering teams to enable the translationion of designs into user stories, adhering to Agile principles and ceremonies to bring features to market. They are focused on owning the product operating model and ensuring the processes effectively enable value delivery. This role is key to ensuring effective collaboration between engineering, end users, UX, and the product team. They will own the end-to-end practices for a set of delivery teams, operating within the bounds of the foundational model.

This role requires a high-level understanding of the software development lifecycle, complex product management processes - including roadmap development, backlog grooming, new feature design and development along with experience in the software industry, project management, and user experience design

Duties and ResponsibilitiesServes as a liaison between business stakeholders, UX, product and the technical team, facilitating cross-department collaboration.Acts as the main information resource for team operating standards and practices. Owns, facilitates and conducts team level engagements, sessions and activities.Gathers operating requirements and effectively communicates and documents complex processes and practices.Engages in frequent communication with segment leads in relation to team performance and progress towards platform objectives, making recommendations to help influence necessary decisions and actions.Owns/organizes/socializes documentation of product operating model and technical/functional designs needed to support the business and/or customer requirements for common and more complex problems.Ability to write and groom user stories targeted to improve the user experience and drive specific outcomes and acceptance criteria. This role’s primary focus is to enable and coach but may be asked to contribute directly.Develops a strong feature-level understanding of customer applications.Stays apprised of the latest technologies and innovations in web and mobile application technologies.Consistently meets agreed-upon deadlines; escalates issues, concerns and barriers to team leadership.Education and ExperienceBachelor’s Degree4+ years of experience in a Product Owner and/or Agile Operations role working with complex digital products.Preferred QualificationsCurrent or previous labcorp experienceExperience working in highly regulated, customer solutions industry such as Finance, Health Care, biopharma, or life sciences industry.Strong understanding of agile development methodologies.Understanding of clinical trial platforms or healthcare related software preferredPre-clinical and clinical lab experienceSkillsExperience in developing operating standards, coaching delivery teams, and applying iterative operating improvements to ensure efficient delivery.Familiarity or direct experience with Quality Assurance practices and execution.Demonstrated understanding of and experience with product engineering and product management.Experience with project life-cycle management tools such as Confluence and Jira.Excellent communication skills (written, verbal, presentation, facilitation) and the ability to present technical and non-technical information clearly and concisely to a broad range of audiences.Ability to work independently and in a collaborative team environment.Entrepreneurial drive and the ability to respond to shifting priorities in a fast-paced work environment.Highly skilled at facilitation, negotiation, and conflict resolutionWorking ConditionsOnsite/RemoteRegularly works with a computer for approximately 6-8 hours a dayMust be able to read and understand complex directions in a professional corporate environmentMust be able and willing to travel as required (< 15% domestic)

Application Window: 1/30-2/3

Pay Range: $90,000-125,000 annually

All job offers will be based on a candidate’s skills and prior relevant experience, applicable degrees/certifications, as well as internal equity and market data.
