/*generated inline style */ Job DescriptionThis metallurgist will work in the Metallurgy group. This individual will need to maintain a high level of quality for instructions and product review. Manage daily activities to stay on schedule for our product shipment. Develop good working relations with both internal and external customers.
JOB RESPONSIBILITES of Senior Metallurgist:
• New parts/process qualification, periodic cutup evaluation, qualification for test ring SPC testing and cutup testing reduction.
• Review of customer technical and quality specifications and creating manufacturing procedures.
• Failure investigations and other technical activities undertaken by product metallurgy department.
• Interface with external customer on product requirements and approvals.
• Provide technical support to Manufacture shop and Metallography/ Mechanical Testing Laboratory.
REQUIREMENTS - EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:
• A minimum of a Bachelor’s degree in Metallurgy or Materials Science is required
SPECIAL SKILLS:
• Flexibility in dealing with production and development issues.
• Computer literacy
• Ability to review and interpret complex specification and drawing requirements
• Communications skills and ability to work with colleagues, production and customers
• Statistical techniques including six sigma is preferred
