The Product Marketing Manager is responsible for the development and execution of marketing initiatives for their assigned product categories across all of our marketing channels (print, digital, radio, ecommerce, signage, etc.). This position partners very closely with assigned merchant partners for batteries, tools, shop equipment, suspension, steering, and exhaust categories to execute retail strategy, professional strategy, and digital ecommerce in collaboration with marketing and ecommerce channel owners. Their role is to create engaging, informative and innovative product marketing assets that drive our sales strategy. This individual must become or already be familiar with automotive products, Advance Auto Parts stores, our Professional sales team, and our customers. To be successful they must be able to prioritize projects, product categories, vendors and sometimes competing agendas to deliver the measurable marketing outcomes.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
\nPartner with merchandising to plan and communicate our category strategies in DIY, Professional and eCommerce channels.
\nCollaborate with marketing program managers to create multichannel marketing strategies and activations including digital, print, radio & social strategies with final approvals from merchant and vendor.
\nOptimize customer experience in all our sales channels via effective media, signage, communications and digital methods.
\nIntegrate competitive insights, and performance including customer analytics, to inform category strategies.
\nDrive e-commerce growth for advanceautoparts.com and Professional online ordering channels.
\nEnable field teams with timely, relevant marketing materials.

QUALIFICATIONS

\nWorking knowledge of automotive systems and maintenance, or the motivation to quickly develop this expertise.
\nCreative problem solving and solution delivery skills.
\nWorking knowledge of Microsoft Excel, with the ability to navigate spreadsheets, use formulas, and interpret data to support internal reporting and collaboration.
\nProficiency in Microsoft PowerPoint, with the ability to develop clear, well-structured presentations that effectively communicate key messages to internal stakeholders at the appropriate level of detail.
\nData literacy and ability tell a story with persuasive written and verbal communication skills.
\nAbility to work effectively and collaboratively to support the needs of a team.
\nAbility to manage multiple projects, negotiate workflow, and handle tight deadlines.
\nAbility to prioritize competing or conflicting agendas for maximum company benefit.
\nExperience managing vendor relationships and securing alignment across internal and external partners

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE
\n4-year bachelor’s degree
\n8+ years’ experience in one or more of the following areas: marketing, merchandising, retail, e-comm, or automotive

WORK ARRANGEMENT
\nPosition requires four days a week in the office at our Raleigh, NC HQ. Occasional travel for trade shows, vendor meetings, or special events. Estimated 3-4 times per year.
