Position Summary

Thales is looking for a Product Marketing Manager who is responsible for defining and developing product positioning and go-to-market plans in alignment with the overall product strategy.
In this role, you will work closely with Product Management and the broader marketing organization to support product launches, product lifecycle communications, sales and partner enablement, and integrated marketing campaigns.
A key part of this role is the ability to understand technically complex products and translate features into clear, compelling business value and use case–driven messaging.
Key Areas of Responsibility
\tProduct Positioning & Messaging
\tDevelop clear, differentiated positioning and messaging for assigned products that communicates business value to various personas, including both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Go-to-Market Planning
\tPlan and execute product launches in coordination with Product Management, Partner Marketing, Marketing Campaigns, and Sales Enablement. Contribute to launch communications, campaign alignment, and internal readiness.
Content Creation
\tDevelop and maintain a wide range of marketing and enablement content, including:
Solution briefs and whitepapers
\t\t\t\t\t\tPresentations
\t\t\t\t\t\tSales tools and product datasheets
\t\t\t\t\t\tInfographics, demos and videos
\t\t\t\t\t\tWeb content and CTAs
\t\t\t\t\t\tBlog posts, social media and press release copy
\t\t\t\t\t\tWebinar and speaking engagement materials
\t\t\t\t\t\tThought leadership and compliance-related assets
\t\t\t\t\t\tSales & Partner Enablement
\tWork with Sales Enablement, Partner and Channel teams to develop content and tools that communicate value propositions, support sales conversations, and facilitate upsell/cross-sell motions.
Cross-Product Initiatives
\tContribute to broader initiatives that span multiple products and areas of interest.
Web Content Oversight
\tMaintain and update relevant product pages on the company website, including messaging, calls to action, and content alignment with campaigns and lead generation activities.
Market & Competitive Intelligence
\tConduct ongoing analysis of customer needs, market trends, and competitor offerings to inform positioning, messaging, and enablement.
Internal Collaboration
\tWork closely with:
Product Management to align on roadmap, value propositions, and launch priorities.
\t\t\t\t\t\tCross functional marketing teams, including Demand-Gen, Creative Services, Regional Field and Channel Marketing, Partner Marketing and Business Development to ensure alignment across all go-to-market activities.
\t\t\t\t\t\tSales and Channel Enablement to support field teams with relevant sales tools and messaging.
\t\t\t\tMinimum Qualifications
\tBachelor’s degree in marketing, business, communications, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
\t\t5–7+ years of product marketing experience in a technical field, preferably cybersecurity or data protection products.
\t\tAn understanding of payment ecosystems, standards, regulations, including PCI DSS, PCI HSM and technologies, including EMV, PCI PIN, tokenization, card issuance, and digital payments infrastructure.
\t\tStrong written and verbal communication skills, with demonstrated experience in creating high-quality content across various formats (e.g., solution briefs, blog posts, whitepapers, social media, webinars).
\t\tProven ability to translate complex technical features into clear business value for diverse audiences, including both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
\t\tExperience with social media marketing for B2B audiences, developing and executing campaigns on platforms like LinkedIn and other industry-specific channels.
\t\tAbility to adapt to and leverage emerging tools and technologies, including AI-powered marketing tools (e.g., content optimization, automation, analytics) to drive efficiency and enhance marketing efforts.
\t\tStrong project management skills, with a proven track record of delivering marketing initiatives on time and within budget.
\t\tComfortable working cross-functionally to drive product positioning, messaging, and go-to-market activities.
\tPreferred Qualifications
\tExperience in cybersecurity, cloud, or data protection, with a strong understanding of industry trends, security technologies, and market needs.
\t\tExperience with cybersecurity products including Hardware Security Modules (HSMs) or key management.
\t\tFamiliarity with emerging technologies such as post-quantum cryptography (PQC), AI, and cloud key management.
\t\tExperience with video/audio presentation tools (e.g., Vimeo, Camtasia).
\t\tFamiliarity with sales enablement tools (e.g., Salesforce, HubSpot, Seismic) and a strong understanding of how to develop resources that directly support sales teams and drive lead generation.
\t\tProven ability to drive thought leadership by creating insightful content on relevant security topics, industry trends, and emerging technologies.
\t\tFamiliarity with creative tools (e.g., Adobe, Canva), marketing automation tools (e.g., Marketo) and CRM systems (e.g., Salesforce).
\t\tExperience in managing integrated campaigns, particularly those involving cross-functional teams or global product lines.
\tSpecial Position Requirements

The reference Total Target Compensation(TTC) market range for this position, inclusive of annual base salary and the variable compensation target, is between
Total Target Cash (TTC): 148,332.00 - 197,678.50 - 247,098.13 USD AnnualThis reflects how companies in a similar industry and geographic region generally pay for similar jobs. This range helps the Company make pay decisions as one data point among many. Where a position falls within this range is also dependent on other factors including – but not limited to – the employee’s career path history, competencies, skills and performance, as well as the company’s annual salary budget, the customer’s program requirements, and the company’s internal equity. Thales may offer additional benefits and other compensation, depending on circumstances not related to an applicant’s status protected by local, state, or federal law.
