As a Product Manager, you will have the opportunity to work on groundbreaking projects, shape the future of data center networking, and make a significant impact on the industry. You will drive the end-to-end product strategy and roadmap for the Nexus Switching portfolio, with a specific focus on advancing our AI/ML networking capabilities. We are not just creating products; we are redefining how data centers operate for AI **Responsibilities** Lead the product lifecycle from strategy to execution: define, scope, release, and measure features to meet both customer needs and business goals. Develop detailed technical product requirements and prioritize feature development in collaboration with engineering, UX, marketing, and other multi-functional teams. Lead the strategy and execution for enabling AI/ML workloads on Nexus, positioning Cisco as the leader in high-performance Ethernet fabrics for next-generation data center infrastructure. Define and drive the implementation of critical AI/ML networking protocols—such as PFC, ECN, and RoCEv2—along with broader UEC features, working closely with engineering to deliver innovations that enhance Nexus’s performance, scalability, and reliability for converged and AI/ML workloads. Engage directly with field teams, customers, and partners to promote Nexus as the preferred solution for AI/ML network architectures, both Inferencing and Training. Drive go-to-market (GTM) efforts, positioning, and enablement to accelerate customer adoption of AI/ML capabilities within the Nexus portfolio. Conduct competitive analysis and market research to identify emerging trends and inform product differentiation strategies. Stay ahead of industry trends and evolving customer demands to continuously innovate and evolve the Nexus switching and AI/ML portfolio. **Minimum Qualifications** + Bachelor’s degree in business, engineering, computer science, or related field, or equivalent product management experience. + At least 5 years of engineering product management experience, including ownership of product strategy, execution, and roadmap delivery. + Demonstrated track record of delivering AI/ML networking features—such as PFC, ECN, RoCEv2, and UEC, through close multi-functional collaboration. + Proven track record to engage and influence field teams, customers, and partners to drive increased adoption of AI/ML networking solutions. + Minimum 2 years’ professional experience using product management and project management tools (e.g., Jira, Aha, Microsoft Office Suite). **Preferred Qualifications** + Master’s degree in engineering, computer science, or related field with focus on product development, design, AI/ML technologies + Experience in the data center industry, particularly in managing data center products and solutions with in-depth knowledge of data center technologies, industry trends, and customer requirements + Domain expertise in Data Center Switching Hardware, Networking, Automation, Analytics, AI/ML & SaaS; mastery of technical concepts and system-design, ability to participate in technical discussions and help make technical trade-offs + Proficient communication and presentation skills, capable of effectively conveying technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences + Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a data-driven approach. **Why Cisco?** At Cisco, we’re revolutionizing how data and infrastructure connect and protect organizations in the AI era – and beyond. Non-Exempt new hires accrue up to 16 days of vacation time off each year, at a rate of 4.92 hours per pay period. Exempt new hires participate in Cisco’s flexible Vacation Time Off policy, which does not place a defined limit on how much vacation time eligible employees may use, but is subject to availability and some business limitations. All new hires are eligible for Sick Time Off subject to Cisco’s Sick Time Off Policy and will have eighty (80) hours of sick time off provided on their hire date and on January 1st of each year thereafter. Up to 80 hours of unused sick time will be carried forward from one calendar year to the next such that the maximum number of sick time hours an employee may have available is 160 hours. Employees in Illinois have a unique time off program designed specifically with local requirements in mind. All employees also have access to paid time away to deal with critical or emergency issues. We offer additional paid time to volunteer and give back to the community. Employees on sales plans earn performance-based incentive pay on top of their base salary, which is split between quota and non-quota components. For quota-based incentive pay, Cisco typically pays as follows: .75% of incentive target for each 1% of revenue attainment up to 50% of quota; 1.5% of incentive target for each 1% of attainment between 50% and 75%; 1% of incentive target for each 1% of attainment between 75% and 100%; and once performance exceeds 100% attainment, incentive rates are at or above 1% for each 1% of attainment with no cap on incentive compensation. For non-quota-based sales performance elements such as strategic sales objectives, Cisco may pay up to 125% of target. Cisco sales plans do not have a minimum threshold of performance for sales incentive compensation to be paid.
