Position Summary

You will serve as an AI Product/Program Manager that helps drive enablement and adoption of a 3rd party Generative AI platform. This role focuses on product feature enablement, governance, and enterprise platform administration. You will orchestrate cross-functional alignment across Security, Legal, Data privacy and business stakeholders to unlock safe, scalable GenAI capabilities that accelerate scientific, operational, and commercial outcomes.

Location: On-site in Carlsbad, CA. Relocation assistance is NOT provided.

Key Responsibilities

Enterprise GenAI Platform Enablement

Partner with the vendor to understand vendor roadmap, feature prioritization, and controlled rollout of the GenAI Platform capabilities across the organization.Define and manage upcoming vendor features releases to manage internal intake, evaluation, and approval workflows aligned to risk, value, and compliance.Partner with vendor product teams to influence roadmap, triage issues, and drive timely resolution.

Governance, Risk, and Compliance

Establish and operate governance frameworks covering model access, data boundaries, prompt governance, auditability, and output quality.Coordinate end-to-end approvals with Security, Legal, Data Privacy, Compliance, and Quality stakeholders.Implement guardrails for PII/PHI handling, IP protection, regulated content (GxP), and ethical AI usage.

Enterprise Platform Administration

Own platform administration including tenant configuration, role-based access control, environment management, and service health.Manage integration keys, connectors, model catalogs, routing policies, and usage quotas.Monitor performance, reliability, and cost; drive optimization and capacity planning.

Application Integration and Enablement

Partner with internal Engineering teams to integrate GenAI services into Enterprise apps via APIs/SDKs, middleware, and event-driven patterns.Coordinate application admin tasks: configuration, permissions, lifecycle changes, incident escalation, and vendor updates.Ensure alignment with CI/CD, change management, and controlled release processes (no full SDLC build ownership).

Agile Product Management

Run Agile ceremonies for platform features and integrations (backlog grooming, sprint planning, demos).Maintain product artifacts: roadmaps, OKRs, user stories, acceptance criteria, and release notes.Drive adoption through enablement programs, training, and change management.

Operational Excellence

Define SLAs/SLOs, incident and problem management workflows, and service dashboards.Establish KPIs for value realization: usage, satisfaction, cycle-time reductions, compliance adherence, and cost per outcome.Lead quarterly business reviews with stakeholders and vendor partners.

Required Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, Bioinformatics, or related field; advanced degree preferred.6+ years in product management, platform product ownership, or technical program management, ideally in regulated industries (biotech/pharma/healthcare).Proven experience with Agile methodologies and operating within SDLC and change management processes (without owning full development SDLC).Hands-on expertise in Application Integration (REST APIs, SDKs, middleware, microservices, event streaming) and enterprise identity/access management.Strong grasp of Data Frameworks (data governance, cataloging, lineage, security, MDM; familiarity with data lakes/warehouses; RAG patterns).Knowledge of GenAI platforms and ecosystem (foundation models, model routing, prompt engineering, content filtering, evaluation/guardrails).Familiarity with security and privacy controls (RBAC/ABAC, encryption, key management, network segmentation, DLP) and regulatory contexts (PII/PHI, GxP, GDPR/CCPA).Excellent stakeholder management, vendor coordination, and cross-functional communication skills.

Preferred Experience

Administering enterprise AI platforms (multi-tenant configuration, policy setup, model catalogs, quotas, monitoring).Tools: API gateways, service meshes, secrets management, observability stacks, feature flagging, and MLOps/LLMOps frameworks.Domain exposure to biotech workflows (R&D, clinical, manufacturing, commercial) and compliance operations.Cost management and FinOps practices for AI services.

Compensation and Benefits

The salary range estimated for this position based in California is $114,000.00–$160,000.00.
