Reporting directly to the Head of Product and Programme Management, you’ll play a key role in accelerating our product pipeline, reducing time to market, and crafting strategies for both product and service growth.

What You'll DoLead and improve the product lifecycle management process from conception to retirement, owning and delivering strategic NPDI programmes aligned with METTLER TOLEDO operating policies.Collaborate with the Programme Manager to champion PLM processes, enforce procedures, and promote awareness through training and advocacy.Develop a clear understanding of the metal detector market, and the competitive landscape, providing effective direction and communication to the internal teams.Collaborate with senior management, marketing, sales, production, quality, and technical teams to develop and document the metal detection product strategy and create detailed project briefs including specifications, cost targets, and timelines.Establish and maintain communication channels with customers and key external stakeholders to provide structured input to the product development process.Collaborate with technical and marketing teams to develop and communicate sales arguments, while analysing and quantifying competitive advantages.Create counterarguments to competitors' sales and marketing claims, becoming a subject matter expert on the competition.Management of the OLC software development resources within the Strategic Business Unit.Understand product cost structures and assist in setting and maintaining annual price lists, pricing policies, and new product pricing requests.Support the development and implementation of pricing strategies, setting new product prices based on competition, market conditions, and brand positioning.What You Need to SucceedQualified to degree level, ideally in an electronic / electro-mechanical related disciplineGood industrial product management experience and experience of introducing new productsProven ability to generate excitement and enthusiasm to influence cross-functional teams without formal functional authorityStrong written and oral communication skills and ability to interact with customers, senior managers, other managers and employees at all levels within the organisation The ability to act as the focal point for products and support the current market leadership positionBe able to demonstrate a high degree of commitment and work with integrity to deliver agreed projects on time to marketOur Offer to YouCompetitive salaryAnnual bonus schemeHybrid workingEarly finish on Fridays26 days holiday plus public holidaysEnhanced maternity and paternity leaveHoliday accrual scheme (earn up to 8 extra days holiday per year)4x salary life assurance24/7 access to free and confidential Employee Assistance Programme to support mental health and wellbeingCompany social eventsOpportunities for training and developmentAbout Mettler ToledoMETTLER TOLEDO is a global leader in precision instruments and services.
