**Who will you be working with?**
You will work with a broad range of talented individuals to deliver quality products in a timely manner at our Thermal Transfer Division business unit. You’ll work alongside Engineering, Quality, and Operations personnel and partner with professionals across multiple departments.
As a member of the Heat Transfer & Energy Solutions team, you will be responsible for providing services and support to internal and external customers and suppliers to ensure materials, processes and products meet or exceed specifications. This position is based at our Duquesne, PA location. The role reports directly to the Technical Sales Director.

As a member of Wabtec Components LLC, Thermal Transfer Group, you will utilize your product management experience to solve problems and develop solutions to positively impact short-term and long-term business goals. This position will be responsible for all aspects of a product roadmap and production; from market analysis and strategy development to manufacturing operations, to achieve positive profitability and position the product for future growth. Within that scope, this position will provide key product support including customer service, engineering technical support, and quality assurance for a specific product line to ensure on time, cost effective, safe, and customer focused product delivery.
**What do we want to know about you?**
+ Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering Technology, or related field
+ 5-7 years of related work experience involving product management, mechanical product design, or mechanical product quality assurance.
+ Competent working knowledge of engineering and quality principles
+ Experience and competence with CAD software (Autodesk products & SolidWorks a plus)
+ Knowledge of production part approval process (PPAP).
+ Knowledge of quality management systems and standards (ISO 9001, etc.). Six Sigma or ISO certification a plus.
+ Experience with ERP/MRP systems (SAP a plus).
+ Ability to provide written and verbal instructions, compile and present results.
+ Knowledge of the heavy equipment, heat exchangers, turbo chargers a plus
+ Knowledge of materials, pressure vessel codes, AWS1.1 a plus
+ Experience with quality tools and methodologies (Six Sigma, FMEA, 8D, etc.)
+ Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills
+ Ability to analyze data and implement process improvements
+ Strong understanding of manufacturing processes and production environments
+ Understand/Demonstrate ability to utilize lean, 5S, and continuous improvement methodologies
+ Ability to adapt and flex in a dynamic environment
+ Ability to get-things-done and challenge the status-quo. Entrepreneurial spirit.
+ Excellent verbal and written communication/language skills and interpersonal skills.
+ Must be proficient with computers, Microsoft Office software
+ Ability to travel as required.
**What will your typical day look like?**
+ Support all aspects of a product line to ensure a high-quality product that meets customer expectations is delivered on time, cost effectively, and safely.
+ Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance product quality and reduce defects
+ Provide engineering support to manufacturing, quality, sourcing, and sales & marketing.
+ Develop and maintain production drawings and BOMs.
+ Lead customer PPAP approval process.
+ Develop and maintain drawing revision control database and procedures.
+ Prepare and present product updates and reports to senior leaders.
+ Develop and execute product strategies and roadmaps.
+ Conduct internal audits and facilitate customer audits.
+ Develop and implement process controls.
+ Ensure compliance with company standards and customer requirements
+ Manage customer complaints and coordinate appropriate corrective actions
+ Frequent daily face-to-face interaction with employees in an operations environment
+ Troubleshoot root causes of scrap and customer complaints
+ Travel as needed perform supplier quality audits and to investigate supplier quality issues
+ Assist in the development of corrective actions and support CAR process
+ Assist in developing and maintaining process control plans
You may also be asked to perform other duties outside of your function or trade, for which adequate training will be provided if necessary.

Our job titles may span more than one career level. The salary range for this role is between
$89,100.00-$126,900.00
The actual salary offered to a candidate may be influenced by a variety of factors, such as: training, transferable skills, work experience, education, business needs, market demands and work location.
