About the role The Product Manager oversees the entire lifecycle of assigned products, focusing on enhancing profitability and developing new products for the Residential Business Unit, working primarily with Load Centers. Responsibilities include managing projects from conception to launch, generating innovative ideas from customer interactions and market insights, and addressing broader market challenges. Handling SKUs, pricing, inventory management, and daily tasks to ensure product portfolio success. This position is onsite with the ability to work from home 1 day a week. Responsibilities Accountable for managing the full product lifecycle for assigned products. Develop and generate business proposals, including product strategies, a 3 to 5-year roadmap and charters for new product development. Oversee all aspects of the product development process, including product specifications, packaging, pricing, and phase-out/phase-in plans. Lead the research and analysis for new product development. Guide project teams throughout product development and implementation; ensuring project deliverables and phase gate (PAC) requirements are met. Assist in developing product launch materials with Marketing. Support the sales organization, attend meetings and visit customers/end-users, facilitate product trainings and presentations, and conduct product research. Act as a technical subject matter expert and advisor on product specifications and applications to key stakeholders, departments across the organization and customers. Analyze product lines' performance, including profitability, forecasting, and inventory levels. Develop and update market and product intelligence databases. Maintain a competitive cross-reference of catalog numbers. Provide insights into product and market-specific issues, including economic trends, competitors, and business trends. Qualifications Proficiency in full product lifecycle management and new product development processes. Strong blend of business and technical acumen; strategic, critical and creative thinker. Skilled in composing business reports and proposals. Strong verbal and written communication skills, and effective presentation skills. Excellent time management and project management skills. Ability to cultivate and maintain strong internal and external relationships. Adept at working cross-functionally and in highly confidential environments. Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools. There is no Visa sponsorship for this position. Education & Experience Bachelor's degree required in engineering or a business degree with technical experience. Minimum of 3 years’ product management experience is required; working with consumer electronics, load centers or similar product experience is a plus! Working knowledge of manufacturing and operations processes. Experience with regulatory or standards organizations, such as UL, CSA and NOM is a plus.
