Product Manager, WSO – Data Distribution

The Team: As the Product Manager for the Data Distribution/Reporting Team within the WSO Product Team, you will collaborate with a global team of product analysts, engineers, and designers. Your primary focus will be on enhancing and modernizing APIs and interfaces within the WSO Product Suite, specifically catering to the evolving marketplace for syndicated and private credit systems. This role offers the opportunity to identify and define problems, take ownership of solutions, and tackle complex challenges from both qualitative and quantitative perspectives.

Responsibilities & Impact: You will have the opportunity to execute a vision that significantly contributes to the business's overall success. Gain hands-on experience with modern technologies, including cloud-based data platforms, machine learning algorithms, AI systems, and automated workflows.

As a Product Manager, you will align with our clients to understand what delivers value when they access the WSO Product Suite and the data provided by the WSO Product Team. You will develop a deep understanding and great empathy for the clients’ needs, the comparative importance of those needs, and the dependencies that exist between those needs. Using this knowledge, you will:

Client Alignment & Roadmap Ownership: Collaborate with clients to understand their needs and define a vision for the next 6-12 months based on insights from client data and marketplace trends, focusing on data distribution.

Work Prioritization & User Story Review: Partner with business leaders to prioritize features related to APIs and ensure user stories within the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) align with user expectations, including thorough testing and documentation.

Agile Collaboration & Cross-Functional Support: Contribute to agile development processes and collaborate with Engineering, Testing, User Experience, Marketing, Implementation, and Sales teams to maximize business impact, particularly in relation to APIs and interfaces.

Product Strategy & Execution: Define short- and long-term product strategies for APIs, research industry trends, support timely execution of metrics, and document requirements, including customer journeys and feature specifications.

Stakeholder Management & Customer Insight: Identify key stakeholder relationships, support actions to address differing interests, and analyze customer market activity reports to maintain updated insights on market needs and trends.

Compensation/Benefits Information (US Applicants Only): 

S&P Global states that the anticipated base salary range for this position is $108,388 to $147,365. Base salary ranges may vary by geographic location. 

In addition to base compensation, this role is eligible for additional compensation such as annual incentive bonus plan.

What We’re Looking For:  

Basic Qualifications: 

5-10 years of total experience, with at least 4 years in product ownership or technical product management roles, specifically focused on APIs and data interfaces.

Experience in driving product strategy and solutions, including gathering requirements for APIs in relation to syndicated and private credit systems.

Experience in working with or analyzing large datasets and relevant technologies.

Proven ability to thrive in a fast-paced, client-facing environment.

Familiarity with the WSO Product Suite.

Knowledge of the IBOR marketplace, including IBOR-based products such as ABS, Bonds, CDS, Equities, Loans, and TRS.

A 4-year bachelor’s degree is required.
