Evinova enables global life sciences to accelerate better health outcomes through innovative digital health solutions for clinical research. We are a distinct business within the AstraZeneca group — advancing digital transformation across the clinical trial, hospital operations, and patient treatment landscape.
We are seeking a Product Manager for Site Products to help shape the future of our platform supporting clinical research sites. The role is responsible for orchestrating the creation and ongoing development of digital solutions catering to site staff, with special emphasis on supporting site workflow efficiency, including integrating human biological samples management, and simplifying operations throughout each phase of the clinical trial lifecycle.
Our context is defined by overlapping transformations. On one side, artificial intelligence is fundamentally reshaping how we work — augmenting creativity, accelerating collaboration between disciplines, and creating new ways to explore, test, and refine ideas. On the other side, the solution spaces we work in — clinical trials, hospital operations, and patient treatment — are also shifting rapidly, driven by new data streams, AI-powered automation, and evolving models of care. We are committed to responsible AI practices — ensuring transparency, fairness, and compliance in all AI-powered features and workflows.
As a Product Manager for Site Products, you will guide our efforts to design and deploy a robust, user-centric digital ecosystem optimized for clinical trial operations at research sites. The role involves working on innovative approaches that minimize workload, increase consistency and quality, and elevate user experience — including the management of human biological samples from collection through tracking, information flow, and regulatory compliance.
This is a strategic, cross-disciplinary position, bridging expert knowledge in clinical trials and product management with the complexities of digital transformation. You'll act as a catalyst for change, championing adoption of new technologies, and embedding a culture of continuous learning and agile delivery.
You will be responsible for leading and guiding the multi-disciplinary product work (persona mapping, value mapping, requirements shaping, etc.) within a small cross-functional product team.
We’re looking for:
Deeply collaborative, T-shaped product practitioners who can understand and engage with multiple perspectives putting user and customer value first
Highly autonomous, self-directed leaders who act with positive agency: seeking out new opportunities for collaboration, proactively navigating ambiguity, and shaping new practices as the context evolves
AI fluency — not necessarily technical experts, but people who are curious and excited about working with generative and agentic AI as part product development process
People who thrive in complexity, balancing near-term delivery with long-term vision, and who are energised by change and challenge rather than constrained by them
This is a chance to help define not just the future of digital health — but the future of digital design in a world where the boundaries between people, tools, and disciplines are being redrawn in real time.
Key Responsibilities:
Accountable for the full spectrum of product activities supporting clinical research sites, including the design and delivery of solutions that streamline trial operations, including best-in-class human biological samples management, and elevate user experience for site staff, sponsors, and patients.
Set and communicate the product strategy for Site Products, defining long-term vision while delivering against business goals and evolving user needs.
Own the full product lifecycle — from discovery and design through delivery, launch, and iteration — ensuring continuous improvement and user value.
Champion innovative approaches that minimize workload, improve consistency and quality, and enhance workflow and data integrity across digital site platforms.
Collaborate closely with design and engineering leads, as well as subject matter experts, forming a cross-functional team to ensure a cohesive, integrated approach to product discovery and delivery. Engage proactively with broader supporting teams—including commercial, delivery, quality, regulatory, strategy, and scientific stakeholders—to shape requirements and implementation.
Drive conceptual thinking and problem-solving, fostering creativity, and continuously challenging the status quo to deliver progressive solutions.
Work closely with Product Managers across Evinova to ensure coherent user experience, seamless workflows, and impactful value delivery across all user domains and integrated product solutions.
Lead the definition, planning, and execution of iterative user testing, using insights from real-world scenarios to validate hypotheses and inform product improvements.
Mentor and develop junior product team members, cultivating a high-performing culture of innovation, collaboration, and continuous learning.
Develop clear user documentation and training materials supporting adoption and proficiency across diverse user groups, process owners and site staff.
Translate technical and regulatory requirements into intuitive, user-friendly product concepts, integrating automation to support accuracy, reliability, and compliance with evolving regulations.
Partner with commercial and finance teams to shape business cases, evaluate vendor proposals, and ensure product decisions support long-term financial sustainability.
Collaborate with marketing, sales, and customer success teams to shape go-to-market strategy, support launch readiness, and track adoption and feedback post-launch.
Define and track success metrics that demonstrate product impact on site efficiency, user satisfaction, and clinical trial quality.
Key Attributes:
Experience conducting user research and customer discovery to deeply understand the needs and contexts of clinical trial stakeholders (site staff, sponsors, patients) and translating these insights into actionable product requirements.
Demonstrated ability to lead cross-disciplinary teams across the full product development lifecycle, with a track record of deploying and scaling digital solutions that drive efficiency, accuracy, and quality for site operations.
Technical fluency, with the ability to rapidly grasp and simplify complex clinical workflows; translate highly technical, regulatory, or scientific requirements into user-friendly digital concepts, and collaborate effectively with engineering and data teams to deliver robust, compliant products.
Experience developing clear user documentation and training materials that support adoption and proficiency among diverse user groups, including clinical researchers, and site coordinators.
Deep understanding of ethical considerations and regulatory frameworks in digital health, including data privacy, patient safety, and compliance standards.
Familiarity with the full clinical trial and drug development lifecycle, including human biological collection/tracking.
Understanding of GCP, 21 CFR Part 11, and other key regulatory requirements relevant to sites.
Expertise in interaction design and information architecture, leveraging rapid prototyping and modern design tools to iterate and refine solutions in fast-moving agile environments.
Excellent collaboration and storytelling skills, able to influence and align cross-functional teams and stakeholders from commercial, regulatory, scientific, and delivery functions.
Skilled at influencing diverse stakeholders — from clinical and regulatory experts to commercial and technical teams — through clear, compelling communication.
Ability to operate independently as a highly autonomous product leader, balancing immediate delivery milestones with long-term strategic vision, and thriving in complex, dynamic clinical research settings.
Strong stakeholder management, negotiation, and problem-solving skills, with proven ability to challenge the status quo, facilitate decision-making, and foster a culture of innovation, accountability, and continuous learning.
Based in Barcelona or Gothenburg, and willing to collaborate face-to-face with engineering and product colleagues. Willingness to travel globally for user research, product delivery, and workshops, ensuring solutions remain connected to real-world needs and feedback.
We also value:
A commitment to continuous learning and staying current with trends in digital health, AI, and clinical research innovation.
Coding or software development experience.
Experience developing GXP validated software.
Experience in healthcare and/or digital health sectors.
A non-linear career path and diverse life experiences that enrich your perspective as a designer.
A second language (and every additional language is a plus).
