Position Overview:
The Product Manager is responsible for leading the assigned product marketing for the Ostomy Franchise. This position will ensure the appropriate development and execution of marketing strategies and initiatives of the product, in coordination with global marketing, regional marketing, and local sales teams, to deliver the sales and profitability objectives of Convatec Japan.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead strategic market planning and initiatives in alignment with regional and global strategies to achieve Japan's annual budget and StratPlan.
Maintain deep expertise in product knowledge, clinical literature, competitor activities, and the local market to ensure effective selling messages and product positioning for market share gain.
Monitor, analyze, and evaluate commercial performance, market position, stakeholder input, and customer feedback to ensure effective execution of marketing activities.
Collaborate with Sales and Clinical Education to develop and execute effective pricing strategies, product training (including hands-on programs), and successful new product launches.
Effectively manage marketing expense budgets.
Develop and maintain local market models.
Ensure the internal sales team is comprehensively trained on clinical, product, and competitor knowledge.
Oversee the effective and timely development and updating of marketing collateral with key messages.
Plan and execute marketing events for healthcare professionals, including webinars, seminars, and hands-on training.
Conceive, create, launch, and provide sales training for creative and effective marketing collateral
Skills & Experience:
5 years of experience in the Medical Device Industry prefered.
3 years of experience in a Marketing role prefered.
Experience working effectively in a matrix organization.
Ability to work closely with local sales teams.
Understanding of traditional marketing strategies with a good understanding of digital strategies.
Demonstrated success managing product campaigns.
Highly analytical, with the ability to develop data-driven business/marketing strategies.
Strong presentation skills, with the ability to confidently communicate key messages and engage the audience.
Understanding of the Japan health systems and legislative frameworks.
Experience with MS Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Teams, and Power BI.
Ability to create marketing collateral in local languages and localize global/regional collateral.
