I.GENERAL SUMMARY & OVERALL CHALLENGES

Based in Shanghai, the Product Manager, life science will implement the overall marketing activities in China to propel the business growth of life science segment.The person will execute planning, product management, pricing, training & education, as well as other marketing activities.

II.KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Responsibility

Provide significant input into the annual marketing plan, specifically: sales forecasts for each product line (taking into consideration past history, market trends, competitive activity and required sales effort), allocation of expenses between products (taking into consideration stage in product life cycle, potential for future growth and profit contribution, potential competitors), required sales promotion programme (taking into consideration marketing strengths relative to competitors, selling opportunities and customers’ needs and attitudes) and the marketing materials needed to accomplish the goals.

Obtain market intelligence through market research on customers, competitors, market potentials, and product competitiveness.

Ensures the transition from a classic marketing approach to online based tools.

Responsible for product launches and PLE in close cooperation with the ID.

Initiate conferences, seminars, workshops, demonstration and other marketing activities to build up good rapport with key opinion leaders, top-tier experts and other important customers.

Lead promotional activities and trade shows, working with developers, advertisers and product manager to market products and services.

Frequent communicate with sales and service functions to ensure the consistency of business strategy and the fulfilment of business goal.

III.REQUIREMENTS FOR THIS POSITION

Professional Experience

5+ years working experience in marketing or application support function role with a sizable MNC.

Education

At least Bachelor’s degree in biology/engineering/ marketing/business or a relevant major.

c)  Language

Fluency in spoken and written Chinese and English is mandatory.
