Purpose:
The Product Manager, Insurance designs, manages, and implements new digital marketing products and programs for web platforms in support of UPMC Insurance Services Division public digital properties and strategic digital campaigns. This role partner closely with a variety of collaborators and stakeholders, from front end designers and IT developers to internal clients and leadership. The product manager will need to align resources and timing to ensure all assets are produced according to strategy, on a clearly communicated timeline, tested, and launched into the marketplace. The product manager will bring the voice of the user to the table and understand digital content best practices.
Responsibilities:
Assists in defining and communicating the product vision and roadmap.
Communicates effectively with internal stakeholders and external partners to gather requirements, provide updates, and secure approvals.
Participates in strategic planning sessions and PI meetings to align digital efforts with broader organizational goals.
Creates, prioritizes, and maintains the product backlog, writes clear user stories and acceptance criteria.
Oversees day-to-day coordination with campaign managers to ensure digital channel updates align with overarching strategy and campaign goals.
Assesses digital strategy requests and recommend enhancements or landing page additions to support business objectives.
Collaborates with cross-functional teams—including IT, Product, Sales, and Creative—to deliver functional requirements, content documentation, mockups, and prioritization plans for digital initiatives.
Partners with digital writers and designers to produce content that is audience-appropriate, concise, creative, and compliant with UPMC style guidelines.
Contributes to reporting and analysis of digital campaigns, including form fill data and audience segmentation.
Monitors digital platforms for technical issues such as broken links, formatting errors, and accessibility compliance, and resolves them promptly.
Assists in UAT testing of digital media to ensure content accuracy, full functionality, and optimal user experience .
Applies SEO best practices and collaborates with search specialists to optimize web content and benchmark performance .
Demonstrates strong project management skills, handling multiple tasks simultaneously and delivering projects on time and within budget.
Maintains a service-oriented approach in all interactions, supporting colleagues and clients with professionalism and responsiveness.
