What is the opportunity?
In this Product Manager role, you will support the delivery of a new Client Reporting System while managing the day-to-day operations of the legacy platform. You will engage stakeholders (Head Office, Wealth Management Canada (WMC) Advisors, and clients) to ensure the new solution meets their needs while overseeing critical reporting processes, including year-end tax workflows, client statements, and other regulatory deliverables. You will balance short-term operational demands (legacy system management, tax reporting) with long-term product strategy, ensuring a seamless transition to the new platform.
What will you do?
Product Strategy & Delivery
Help define the vision and roadmap for client reporting, aligning with WMC’s long-term goals while addressing immediate user needs.Partner with Technology, Operations, and Compliance to prioritize foundational work, and iterative improvements based on feedback.Support the product backlog, balancing feature development, technical debt, and regulatory requirements (e.g., year-end tax reporting, client statements).User Engagement & Feedback Loops
Act as the voice of advisors, clients, and operational teams, translating their reporting needs (format, data granularity, delivery frequency) into actionable requirements.Conduct user research to document pain points in the legacy system (e.g., manual workarounds, missing data) and validate solutions in the new platform.Manage feedback mechanisms (demos, UAT sessions) with Change Enablement to ensure adoption and minimize disruption.Legacy System & Operational Management
Oversee day-to-day operations of the legacy reporting system, ensuring stability and addressing escalations during the transition.Collaborate with Operations and Tax teams to streamline year-end reporting processes, client statements, and other recurring deliverables.What do you need to succeed?
Must haves:
Experience in Wealth Management – preference for client-facing roles.Experience in Product Management.Experience with Agile practices and systems (JIRA, Confluence).Nice-to-have:
