Job Summary

The Product Development team is responsible for the management and development of device strategy and product roadmaps for all Comcast and Sky devices. Our charter as a team is to develop and deploy devices which enhance the in-home WiFi experience for our customers. As a Product Manager you will play a pivotal role in defining the future of the in-home Wi-Fi experience. Accomplishing this will involve working with industry silicon providers and other internal stakeholders to collaborate on desired features and functionality for our customers. The importance of broadband connectivity has become increasingly apparent, and we are looking for a dynamic individual to join our team.

Job Description

Responsibilities:

Serve as a product manager and drive key broadband software initiatives to deployment.Responsible for overseeing multiple projects involving ideation, development, launch, and maintenance of hardware and software components within Comcast Cable’s CPE (customer premises equipment) devices, including Broadband Gateways, WiFi products and related software products which operate on the RDK (Reference Design Kit) software stack for Residential and Commercial deployments.Drive and ensure alignment with all product stakeholders regarding product specifications and objectives.Stay current on the technology and market trends; forecast opportunities and threats to our businesses.Exploration and evaluation of new technologies for new product/services opportunities and better experience for end customers.Perform driven research and analyses and keep the rest of the team abreast through industry/competitive/technology briefs.Contribute to the product vision across the team and the organization.Define requirements for new products, features, and use cases; define acceptance criteria for each.Drive the development of new features and enhancements for Broadband CPE products to improve the customer experience and reduce support costs; perform high-level requirement analysis and definition, including gathering, documenting, and prioritizing product requirements from cross functional teams and stakeholders on multiple business/technical levels throughout the product lifecycleAssist with the development of business cases for new features.Coordinate closely with engineering and program leads to ensure alignment between technical, business, and field teams on product features and releases.Collaborate with business units to ensure a go-to-market strategy is defined and in place before a new device launch.Keep track of product performance through data collection and analysisInternalizes and represents the Voice of the customer throughout the product lifecycle.Performs competitive analysis and conducts market research.Teams with product development to deliver high quality products on time.Participates in the strategic planning for enhancements to product content, pricing, packaging and features.Assists in budgeting and variance analysis of product's unit and financial performance, with goal of identifying opportunities and risks. Concisely communicate trends, opportunities and risks, develop and defend POV for product features/benefits.Conducts feasibility assessments, capability gap analysis (i.e., what is wanted vs. what is attainable).Consistent exercise of independent judgment and discretion in matters of significance.Regular, consistent and punctual attendance. Must be able to work nights and weekends, variable schedule(s) and overtime as necessary.Other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
