Location/Division Specific Information

This position is part of the Bioprocessing Equipment and Automation Business Unit (BEA) within the Single Use Division at Thermo Fisher Scientific.

As a Product Manager, Bioprocessing Services you will be part of the BEA Product Management team with responsibility for a product line(s) and customer/market segment(s).

Location: Waltham, MA onsite position

What will you do?

Full business ownership/accountability for delivering financial results for the service product linesAnalyze market trends, customer requirements, and competitive strategy, and find opportunities for growing customer and business value through product differentiationLead new product development including voice of customer research, defining critical customer and product requirements with prioritized features and corresponding business and financial justification with valueAct as the main advocate for the product with internal collaborators, regional teams, and directly with key accounts. A successful candidate will stay closely engaged with the field organization (e.g., sales and technical support) through training and active involvement in the sales process, including visits to customers, explaining the product's value, pricing strategies, and providing customer support.Act as the customer advocate interacting with functional partners including R&D, Program Management, Manufacturing, Finance, Customer Services, Quality, and RegulatoryAssess and evaluate market and competition to help develop and deploy key messages and communication strategies for the product line with the marketing teamEducationBachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience in a scientific or business-related field requiredMBA strongly preferred, equivalent experience acceptedRequired ExperienceMinimum 5+ years’ experience in product management or product related services & commercialization, plus competitive market research skillsFamiliarity with instrumentation and/or bioproduction industry including experience developing & launching new products in global businessesBasic knowledge of the fundamental concepts of intellectual property, patents and contract lawExperience working directly with customers.Advanced skills in Microsoft Products: PowerPoint, Excel, PowerBI.Self-starter with the ability to build and implement plans with minimal supervision.Experience working in a complex global matrix organizational structure.Outcome orientation and a strong desire to plan to measure the success of initiatives.Skills & Abilities:Adept at influencing in a matrixed environment, driving accountability to timelines and commitments from individuals junior and senior in the organizationComfortable making independent decisions and embracing changeStrong attention to detail and project management skills to lead timely results across multiple projects simultaneouslyAbility to understand business strategies and prioritize activities appropriatelyTravel

Willingness to travel as needed (up to 15%), domestic and international.
