The Amazon Private Brands (APB) team is seeking a talented, dynamic and detail-oriented Product Manager based out of Tokyo, JP. As a Product Manager, Business Manager, you will be responsible for setting and implementing specific growth strategies and improving processes to scale with rapid JP market acceleration. In addition to owning the P&L and growth strategies, the PM will own and develop a comprehensive JP Deals strategy for Hardlines Private Brands (HPB) and Softlines Private Brands (SPB), with an end goal to offer customers compelling promotions year round.

• Excellent data analysis skills, demonstrated ownership, and a track record of delivering results through scalable solutions.
• Ability to leverage market trends, customer needs, and emerging technology to define long term category plans.
• Financial and analytical acumen, proven ability to deep dive drivers behind category trends.
• Proven ability to partner with geographically dispersed, cross functional stakeholders to define market specific strategies.
• Persistent track record for operational rigor in execution to deliver results.
• Proven ability to deal with ambiguity and multiple, competing priorities.
Key job responsibilities
Category management: 1) deliver topline growth and profitability improvements for a set of categories, improving overall business productivity, 2) deliver a 3-year product category strategy for the JP market, and 3) ramp new product launches.
Deals strategy: 1) define comprehensive SPB/HPB Deals strategy for JP market, partnering with WW stakeholders to ensure cohesion, 2) ensure JP market Deals processes are standardized, operate at scale and are defect-free, and 3) create and own closed-loop mechanisms between cross-functional teams to improve productivity and report outputs.
