Role Overview
Pearson Virtual Schools (PVS) is seeking an outcome‑driven Product Manager to develop Products that support the School Experience (example, school admin and teacher‑focused workflow tools and platform integrations) that support our virtual school ecosystem. In PVS, the Schools navigate a unique digital‑first instructional environment—this role ensures they have efficient, intuitive, and consistent products that reduce administrative burden and maximize instructional time. This role emphasizes continuous discovery and delivery, user‑centered problem solving, and delivering measurable improvements in teacher efficiency, operational consistency, and student engagement across our Connections Academy and partner school programs.
What You’ll DoConduct user research (interviews, workflow studies, prototype testing) with PVS teachers, school administrators, families, and support staff.
Translate insights into clear problem definitions and product requirements that reflect PVS instructional models and operational processes.
Support an outcome‑based roadmap focused on improving teacher workflows, data visibility, and high‑value instructional interactions.
Collaborate with Design, Engineering, Research, School Operations, Curriculum, and Academic Programs to deliver high‑quality features aligned to PVS school needs.
Contribute to experimentation, usability testing, and iteration based on data from PVS platforms and user feedback.
Support interoperability and integration efforts across PVS systems using 1EdTech standards.
Ensure solutions align with PVS priorities: engagement, teacher retention, instructional effectiveness, scalable operations, and responsible AI usage.

What We’re Looking For4+ years in Product Management or related role.
Experience conducting user research and applying insights to product decision‑making.
Familiarity with teacher workflows, virtual school environments, or operational efficiency tools.
Exposure to 1EdTech standards (LTI, OneRoster) or similar frameworks.
Strong communication, analytical, and cross‑functional collaboration skills across distributed teams.
Preferred QualificationsExperience working in or with virtual schools, online learning programs, or PVS‑like environments.
Knowledge of LMS ecosystems, student information systems (SIS), and classroom management workflows.
Experience with Jira, Confluence, analytics platforms, and design tools such as Figma, Mural, etc.

Compensation at Pearson is influenced by factors including skill set, experience, and location.
The full-time salary range for this role is US$79,800 - US$130,000 annually.
