Job Description

Work with Portfolio Managers to help enable the execution of product category strategies. Functions include: technical understanding of products and their applications to facilitate new product launches, maintenance and tracking of sales and promotional tools, competitive data gathering, preparation/ review of internal/ external communications and performance tracking activitiesManage the implementation of new products operationally from start to finish.  Responsible for coordination of supplier input of new products, internal coding, gathering compliance requirements, content submission, and communication of product launch.Utilize the Product Data Hub to process change orders ensuring accurate product dataAdhere to established data governance rules, and participate in Data Governance Steering Committee as necessaryInvestigate competitive product and promotional activities including: List price comparisons, product gap/ cross reference activities and promotional activitiesWork to ensure product maintenance is completed and implemented. Functions include: understanding of sales implementation for new product additions and technical knowledge of equivalent substitutes for discontinued itemsGather data and provide analysis in support of Portfolio Manager objectivesFacilitate and manage product literature inventory, replenishment and elimination of obsolete materialCoordinate, manage and respond to incoming sales rep issues relating to products and suppliersWork cross functionally with various departments in support of Portfolio and Project Management objectives. These departments include Product Administration, Supply Chain, Marketing and SalesAdministration and coordination of project specific activities including: sales rep training, supplier funding tracking, sales specific requests, supplier quality rating process and yearly pricing activitiesPerforms other duties as assigned.

Minimum Requirements/Qualifications:

Bachelor’s Degree in Science or related discipline, or equivalent work experienceExcellent computer skills (Must be proficient with Excel, Access, Power Point, Smartsheet, and Word)Excellent communication skillsBasic understanding of laboratory and sales termsExperience supporting diverse product portfolios in a retail marketStrong team player and interpersonal skillsWillingness to learnMotivated and ambitiousAttention to detailStrong time management skillsAdaptability to a variety of technologies including but not limited to Mainframe, Cloud Based solutions, and database technologyAdaptable to working with teams as well as independentlyDatabase skills suggested, but not required
