Position Overview
We're seeking an innovative and experienced Product Management Director to lead AI-related and other strategic initiatives, driving excellence in product management and innovation across our product portfolio. This role combines deep technical expertise with product management acumen, delivery excellence, and a coaching mindset to accelerate transformation initiatives, key growth programs, and capability building across teams.

Product Leadership
Embed into business units to develop customer-centric roadmaps and compelling business casesCoach teams to develop high-quality MRDs, PRDs, and refine complex work into shippable incrementsHelp teams define winning product strategies and navigate ambiguity through rigorous user-centric discoveryLead rapid product builds with design and engineering teams, delivering features through agile methodologiesAI & Technical Innovation
Drive AI product strategy and deliver breakthrough genAI innovations (LLMs, partnerships, acquisitions)Coach teams to adopt MVP mindset for rapid experimentation and market validationLead complex technical problem-solving and integration planning across product and engineering organizationsProduct Excellence

8+ years of product management experience with demonstrable AI/ML expertiseStrong technical background in software engineering or related disciplinesProven track record shipping complex technical products and leading engineering partnershipsDeep understanding of AI/ML technologies, particularly generative AI and agentic systemsExperience building product prototypes and technical roadmaps from concept to marketPreferred Qualifications
Successful experience with startups, acquisitions, or large-scale innovation initiativesAdvanced degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related technical fieldDomain expertise in learning technologies and educational product developmentEntrepreneurial experience in high-growth or startup environmentsStrong analytical capabilities and systems thinking approach to complex technical challengesWhat You'll Love About This Role

Compensation at Pearson is influenced by a wide array of factors including but not limited to skill set, level of experience, and specific location. As required by the California, Colorado, Hawaii, Illinois, Maryland, Minnesota, New Jersey, New York State, New York City, Vermont, Washington State, and Washington DC laws, the pay range for this position is as follows:
The minimum full-time salary range is between $225,000 - $260,000 - This position is eligible to participate in an annual incentive program, and information on benefits offered is here.
