Job Responsibilities​

We are looking for a detail - oriented and professional new product Introduction Engineer to join our team. This role will be mainly responsible for product label design, technical document writing, and system BOM (Bill of Materials) maintenance and introduction for our products (focusing on industrial instruments such as gas detection devices). The ideal candidate will have a solid foundation in technical documentation, be proficient in label design tools and BOM management systems and possess excellent logical thinking and writing skills. You will play a key role in ensuring the accuracy, standardization, and timeliness of product labels, technical documents, and BOM data, supporting product R&D, production, sales, and after - sales services.

 

Key Responsibilities​

Product Label Design​

Design product labels in accordance with national and international standards (such as GB, IEC, EN) and company specifications, including product name, model, parameters, warning information, certification marks, and production batch numbers.​ Collaborate with the R&D, quality, and production teams to confirm label content, ensuring that it accurately reflects product characteristics and meets regulatory and operational requirements.​ Use design software (such as Adobe Illustrator, CorelDRAW, or label design dedicated software) to create and optimize label templates, ensuring clarity, aesthetics, and compatibility with printing processes.​ Review and verify the printed product labels, check for errors in content, format, and printing quality, and promptly correct any problems found.​ Update label templates in a timely manner according to product upgrades, standard changes, or regulatory updates, and archive the updated versions for future reference.​

Technical Document Writing​

Compile and update various technical documents, including product user manuals, installation guides, maintenance manuals, technical specifications, and troubleshooting guides.​ Collect technical information from the R&D team, including product working principles, structural diagrams, operation procedures, and maintenance points, and organize it into clear, concise, and easy - to - understand document content.​ Ensure that technical documents comply with industry standards, regulatory requirements, and company document management specifications, and use unified terminology and format.​ Conduct user - oriented document optimization, taking into account the needs of different users (such as operators, maintenance personnel, and customers) to improve the readability and practicality of documents.​ Collaborate with the translation team (if applicable) to ensure the accuracy of multilingual versions of technical documents, and review the translated documents.​ Manage the document version, track document updates, and ensure that all departments use the latest valid versions of documents; archive old versions for traceability.​

System BOM Maintenance​

Maintain and update the product BOM in the enterprise resource planning (ERP) system or product data management (PDM) system, including adding new BOMs for new products, modifying BOMs for product upgrades, and deleting obsolete BOMs.​ Collaborate with the R&D, procurement, and production teams to confirm BOM information, such as component names, models, specifications, quantities, suppliers, and material codes, ensuring the accuracy and completeness of BOM data.​ Conduct regular audits of system BOMs, compare BOM data with actual product components and production processes, identify discrepancies, and coordinate relevant teams to resolve them.​ Track the change process of BOMs, record BOM change reasons, change content, and approval information, and ensure that BOM changes comply with the company's change management procedures.​ Provide BOM data support for other departments, such as providing BOM lists for procurement to purchase components, and providing BOM information for production to formulate production plans.​ Assist in optimizing the BOM management process, putting forward suggestions for improving BOM management efficiency and data accuracy, and participating in the promotion of related improvement measures.

 

Job Requirements

Bachelor's degree or above in Technical Communication, Mechanical Engineering, Electronic Engineering, Instrumentation Engineering, or a related major.​ At least 2 years of working experience as a technical writer, with experience in industrial instruments (such as gas detection instruments) or manufacturing industry being preferred.​ Proficiency in using label design software (such as Adobe Illustrator, CorelDRAW) and office software (Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint), and familiar with technical document writing formats and standards.​ Familiar with BOM management concepts and processes, and experience in using ERP or PDM systems for BOM maintenance is preferred.​ Good command of technical writing skills, able to organize complex technical information into clear, logical, and easy - to - understand documents and labels.​ Strong attention to detail, able to accurately check and verify label content, document information, and BOM data to avoid errors.​ Excellent communication and coordination skills, able to effectively communicate with cross - functional teams (R&D, production, quality, procurement) to collect information and promote work progress.​ Familiar with relevant industry standards and regulatory requirements for industrial instruments (such as GB standards, IEC standards) related to labels, documents, and BOMs.​ Good learning ability, able to quickly master new product knowledge, software systems, and industry standards.​ Basic English reading and writing skills, able to read English technical documents and standards.
