What the day will look like + Lead the product governance process and maintain a strong control environment. + Embed governance practices across product management, sales, and operations. + Support the Product Leader and Product Committee chair with decision-making. + Contribute to product and distribution strategies and help implement changes. + Partner with insurers to ensure obligations are met and raise issues where needed. + Manage a team of Product Analysts and Specialists to develop new solutions. + Maintain oversight of products and conduct regular reviews. + Deliver performance metrics, risk indicators, KPIs, and reporting. + Collaborate with product teams, market security, and other stakeholders. Skills and experience that will lead to success + Proven experience in Insurance Governance within a similar transferable role such as product governance, risk controls, or compliance in the insurance industry. + Strong understanding of UK regulatory frameworks relating to product governance and control environments. + Knowledge of Consumer Duty regulations (desirable). + Ability to build relationships and influence stakeholders. + Leadership experience with a focus on team development. + Analytical skills and experience in delivering KPIs and governance reporting. + Collaborative approach with practical problem-solving skills.
