Job Specific Requirements:
Lead & support the launch of new seating systems components from conception until product launch
Integration of foam, trim, plastics, structures, and other non-JIT components into the final seat complete assembly
Responsible for foam design and engineering and component releasing:
Seat Foam complete BOM management
Engineering Changes release
Issue and manage engineering changes to implementation
Issue and manage design requests for drawing and 3D updates
Prepare and update seat complete DFMEA along with analyzing supporting teams’ DFMEAs
Facilitate design for manufacturing meetings and process with manufacturing facilities
Facilitate engineering profile gate/design reviews
Technical internal and external competitive benchmarking
Support and participate in prototype builds,
Direct or Create one off mockups to show feasibility of design proposals
