As a Product Engineer at Metacraft of Mayville and Scag Power Equipment located in Mayville WI, you will support our Bluebird Turf Equipment line of products by providing technical engineering and product management support to assembly, quality, service and purchasing teams.
Responsibilities
In addition you will:
Work with new product development team to introduce new product to the production floor for our Bluebird Turf Equipment product lines.Work with manufacturing to insure successful implementation and launch of new designs.Perform assembly line audits to insure Scag products are being built to meet quality standards and units are functioning properlyWork with assembly team and quality control team to diagnose and resolve issuesWork with purchasing team to qualify and approve new components from existing and new suppliersManage cost savings and product improvement initiativesReview Bill of Materials for new designs and prepare cost estimates based on supplier quotes and internal estimatesReview quality rejects and determine appropriate dispositionAnalyze and diagnose product warranty and assure proper solution is implemented
Qualifications
We need an excellent communicator, who is self-motivated and can multi-task in a fast paced team environment. You will need exceptional analytical skills for problem solving, with a Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical or Agricultural Engineering and design experience.
A strong candidate will have 3-5 years’ experience in the following:
CAD drafting/ modeling using Pro-E/CreoAbility to manage other team membersBill of Material constructionSAP data entry and analysisProduct designComponent selection and supplier communicationManufacturing support experience
