**Your role:** + Understand commercial brief, identify user needs and tensions. + Track product trends and competitive landscape. + Define design problems, success criteria, and design requirements. + Document assumptions and hypotheses. + Participate in design workshops. + Translate insights into ideas and concepts that achieve project goals. + Conduct sketching and ideation sessions. + Develop and refine design concepts giving appropriate form, colors, materials, finishing. + Create appropriate interaction design ideas. + Conduct design reviews and peer design critiques. + Create compelling design visualizations (computer renderings) + Create clear and compelling design presentations. + Present ideas to peers and stakeholders. + Create design specifications (3D CAD files, color, material, finishing and graphics) for model making and product development. + Team up with specialist to define and specify reference color samples. + Co-design with engineers to ensure design intent is secured through to production. + Inspect and evaluate engineering files, engineering builds and color and graphic samples. + Sign off on approved builds and samples. + Use Philips’ development processes and tools to document and upload design documents. + Team up with packaging designer to ensure packaging content is up to date. + Team up with interaction designer to ensure user interface is easy and usable. + Complete all assigned trainings before due dates. **You're the right fit if:** + You have a bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Product design or Industrial design. + You have 3 or more years of relevant industry experience in consumer and/or healthcare domain, and have design experience in insights, ideation, concept, rendering, presentation, to working with engineers to see your design through to manufacturing. + You are proficient with 3D Computer aided design (CAD) software such as Rhino, CREO, SolidWorks and rendering tools such as Key shot. + You have strong written and spoken communication skills (English and Mandarin) + You have a strong affinity for designing with color, material, and finishing. + You are creative and empathetic, enabling you to create appropriate solutions that solve business and customer needs. + You collaborate effectively with other functions to solve problems and achieve goals under tight timelines. + You have a positive outlook, are hardworking and adaptable. This position is based in Philips Innovation Campus Shenzhen China **How we work together** We believe that we are better together than apart. For our office-based teams, this means working in-person at least 3 days per week. Onsite roles require full-time presence in the company’s facilities. Field roles are most effectively done outside of the company’s main facilities, generally at the customers’ or suppliers’ locations.
