Product Designer

+ **Key Responsibilities:**
+ **Product Design:**
+ Create 3D models and 2D drawings of components, assemblies, and finished products.
+ Update models and drawings based on feedback from development and production processes.
+ Perform simple calculations and feasibility studies in CATIA.
+ Apply knowledge of GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing).
+ **Product Design Lifecycle:**
+ Archive design data using intranet, SAP, and PDM/PLM systems.
+ Execute data transfers to customers, suppliers, and tool manufacturers.
+ **Product Design Support:**
+ Assist product development engineers in documenting project activities.
+ Provide technical and project-specific customer care.
+ Support development team during the launch phase of new tools or processes.
+ **Continuous Improvement:**
+ Enhance existing modeling methods and standards to increase efficiency.
+ Continuously improve skills in new technology areas.
+ **Internal Communication:**
+ Maintain close communication with suppliers and development team during RFQ and project phases to optimize design costs.
+ **Simulation:**
+ Perform simulations to reduce design time and workload on the FEA team.
**Required Competencies:**
+ **Technical Knowledge:**
Advanced experience with CAD software (CATIA) and GD&T.
+ Knowledge of production technologies and materials.
+ Basic experience in FEM and CAE methods.
+ Advanced level of written and spoken English.
+ **Skills:**
+ Technical and analytical thinking.
+ Independent working ability and assertiveness.
**Required Experience:**
+ Technical education (bachelor’s degree).
+ Minimum 2 years of experience in the automotive industry (especially Mount Production) and with CAD- and PLM-Systems
+ Experience working in an international team is an asset.
