Designs and develops mechanical conveyor and material handling equipment from concept through installation.
Requirements
BS in Mechanical Engineering or related field (or equivalent work experience)
Minimum 3 years’ experience in mechanical design, preferably in conveyor systems or material handling equipment
Proficiency in SolidWorks
Experience configuring and customizing PLM/PDM tools
ERP/MRP software proficiency (SAP, Oracle, etc.)
Knowledge of drive systems including motors, gearboxes, VFDs, and bearings
Understanding of structural steel design
Familiarity with manufacturing processes including welding, sheet metal fabrication, and machining
Preferred Skills
Experience developing new designs from scratch
Background in mechanical conveyor and installation design
Responsibilities
Design and develop conveyor and material handling systems
Create detailed engineering drawings and 3D models using SolidWorks
Ensure designs meet functional, safety, and compliance requirements
Collaborate with manufacturing teams to support fabrication and assembly processes
Integrate drive systems and structural components into complete designs
Configure PLM/PDM tools to align with business needs
Support ERP/MRP system integration for design and production workflows
Pay Details: $38.00 to $51.00 per hour
