Product Counsel , Amazon Leo
Description Amazon Leo is Amazon's low Earth orbit satellite network. Our mission is to deliver fast, reliable internet connectivity to customers beyond the reach of existing networks. As the Amazon Leo Product Counsel, you will be responsible for advising the Leo team on product counseling matter globally. You will handle legal issues in business-centric ways and develop processes that address risk while allowing the business flexibility and freedom to quickly develop services that prioritize and delight our customers. Some travel, domestic and international, may be required. Export Control Requirement: Due to applicable export control laws and regulations, candidates must be a U.S. citizen or national, U.S. permanent resident (i.e., current Green Card holder), or lawfully admitted into the U.S. as a refugee or granted asylum. Key job responsibilities - Provide strategic privacy legal counsel to business teams developing satellite connectivity solutions - Develop innovative legal strategies that balance risk management with business flexibility - Collaborate with cross-functional teams to address complex legal and regulatory challenges - Create processes and frameworks that support rapid technological innovation - Support global product development with comprehensive legal insights Basic Qualifications - 5+ years of legal experience - Juris Doctor and membership in one state bar or equivalent - Experience advising across multiple partnerships and clients. - Experience navigating complex legal and regulatory ambiguity in a fast-paced, start-up environment Preferred Qualifications - Experience of a mix of corporate law firm and in-house work - Experience dealing well with ambiguity, prioritizing needs, and delivering measurable results in an agile environment - Experience working cross functionally across several teams - Experience in written and oral communication, including the ability to communicate with all levels in the organization (technical, business, executive) - Background in telecommunications or satellite technology regulations - Strong understanding of legal frameworks in technology and communications sectors Amazon is an equal opportunity employer and does not discriminate on the basis of protected veteran status, disability, or other legally protected status. Your Amazon package will include sign-on payments and restricted stock units (RSUs). Final compensation will be determined based on factors including experience, qualifications, and location.
