Product Applications Engineer - Waltech Products
The Impact You'll Make

Serve as the technical pivot between Sales, Product Manager, Engineering and our Waltech customers.  You own the Waltech product family from an application standpoint, remove technical barriers to revenue, and translate field intelligence into actionable input for future product roadmaps.

What You’ll Be Doing

1. Become the go-to Waltech expert, especailly for Walform Machines expert for sales teams, channel partners and end-users: provide pre- and post-sales support, product selection guidance, system-level troubleshooting and start-up assistance.
2. Support new business opportunities – bringing value to our customers via smarter and energy efficient products and systems to drive the Waltech Product Sales growth for China Market.
3. Meet with customers on-site to review application requirements identifying product solutions and product gaps for their given system needs.  Be ultra-responsive to their technical, product-related questions.
4. Translates customer requirements into identifying existing Waltech products or to work with engineering on internal designs using existing company design standards. Establishes BOMs, calculates component costs and establishes selling prices within established guidelines. Performs competitive analysis to determine market price levels.
5. When necessary, create and develop customer presentations for Waltech, communicating Danfoss solution and any other technical information required by customers to ensure application support and ongoing business development wins.
6. Translate customer pain-points, winning features and competitive gaps into clear market requirements; feed Product Management (PM) with prioritized use-cases and VOC data to shape next-generation Waltech offerings.
7. Drive the Engineering Change Request (ECR) and End-of-Life (EOL) process for Waltech; Communicate impact to sales, update pricing tools and ensure smooth last-time-buy transitions.
8.Be self-motivated.  Accomplish daily tasks without guidance from a supervisor and/or manager.

What We're Looking For

1. 3–5 yrs hands-on experience in Rigid Tube/Pipe Forming Equipment and/or hydraulic applications. 
2. Able to handle the forming equipment with design, commissioning, or maintenance independently. 
3. Ability to communicate effectively at different levels and with different stakeholders completing and presenting value add presentations internally and externally.
4. Strong and pragmatic troubleshooting, problem solving and root cause analysis skills, ability to recognize "big picture".
5. Experienced in reading and drafting drawings in CAD software, preferred in PRO-E.
6. Electrical engineering major/experience preferred.
7. English fluently written and spoken, willing to have the international business trip (5%-10%).
