An exciting opportunity awaits the right candidate to join a fast-growing Artificial Intelligence company for the position of Product Application Engineer - Building Automation. Are you fascinated in leveraging AI to gain insight in the behavior of buildings? You will be part of the team that develops, designs, and supports hardware products to implement BrainBox AI solutions in buildings. Up for the challenge? You should be well versed with HVAC control, lighting, and refrigeration systems. Familiar with designing, testing, documenting, and implementing HVAC control and IoT solutions. As well, a bonus if you work in Linux and code in python. Important to be open to share your experience and knowledge. Your primary objective is to support the hardware team in designing, configuring, testing, delivering, and maintaining hardware products, whether being newly installed or already deployed in the field.
What you will do:
Design, develop, and test control programs and sequences for IoT devices and control systemsRemotely implement, support, troubleshoot, test, and commission IoT devices, HVAC control, lighting, and refrigeration systemsCollaborate with development and algorithm teams to integrate with control systems IoT devicesPerform analytical testing (QA/QC) for new product validation, stability, and release.Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to control systems and IoT devicesStay updated with the latest advancements in IoT technologies and control systemsContinue to enhance documentation of test procedures and results, step by step guides, product reviewsWhat you will bring:
Diploma in mechanical, electrical, or building environments engineering technology or equivalent trade/field experience5-8 years of experience with building automation and HVAC control system, preferably in the IoT domain.Experience with cloud platforms and services (e.g., AWS, Azure, Google Cloud)Experienced with BMS software, programming, and hardware (Distech, Schneider Electric, Delta Controls, other, etc…)In-depth knowledge of building automation systems, HVAC and mechanical systems, electrical, refrigeration, and building operationsExperience with commissioning building HVAC automation controls and systemsExperience with building management system protocols like, BACnet, Modbus, LonworksStrong level of experience with Unix/Linux OSExperience navigating, programming, executing commands and scripts in various Linux environmentsStrong IT and networking understanding, configuration, and architectureStrong organizational and communication skills, collaborating with multiple departmentsHands-on experience with electronics, testing equipment, and circuitryExperienced building controls panels, wiring, terminations, and working with toolsFamiliar with python programming languageFamiliarity with MQTT and APIs, such as RESTful and Node RedTridium Niagara 4 certified is an assetSolution selling and or pre-sales technical support experience is an assetLanguage requirements:
