Description

We are seeking a Procurement Specialist to support the Strategic Sourcing & Procurement team in a biotech environment. This role partners closely with Category Leaders and Category Managers to execute sourcing initiatives, manage contract workflows, and support procurement operations across multiple enterprise spend areas. This is a hands‑on role requiring strong experience with ERP systems, contract coordination, and vendor management.

 

Key Responsibilities

Support end‑to‑end SOW, budget, and contract development workflowsManage purchase requisitions and purchase orders within ERP systems (SAP preferred)Coordinate contract reviews through CLM tools (Agiloft preferred)Partner with Legal and Business Owners to ensure contract alignmentSupport RFI/RFP processes, including vendor communications and bid analysisAssist with vendor evaluations and supplier meetingsManage vendor accruals, budget tracking, and forecastingResolve AP and receiving discrepanciesSupport category initiatives and cross‑functional procurement projects

 

Required Qualifications

5+ years of procurement or strategic sourcing experienceBiotech or pharmaceutical industry experience preferredERP system experience required (SAP preferred)Experience supporting RFP/RFI processesStrong SOW and contract workflow coordination experienceStrong analytical skills and proficiency with ExcelAbility to collaborate with Legal, Finance, and Operations teamsHigh attention to detail and compliance awareness (GMP/GxP preferred)

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Alameda, CA.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $30.00 - $30.00/hr.
