Procurement Specialist

Our client, a leading organization in data center operations and technology support, is seeking a Procurement Specialist 5 to join their team. As a Procurement Specialist 5, you will be part of the procurement department supporting large-scale data center initiatives. The ideal candidate will have excellent communication, negotiation, and analytical skills, along with a strong understanding of procurement processes, which will align successfully in the organization.
**Job Title:** Procurement Specialist 5
**Location:** Remote
**Pay Range:** $46/hr. - $51/hr.
**What's the Job?**
+ Engage with stakeholders to understand business requirements and define sourcing strategies for goods and services.
+ Manage key sourcing activities, ensuring timely delivery and adherence to budget constraints.
+ Develop and maintain relationships with strategic suppliers and identify new partnership opportunities.
+ Monitor compliance with procurement policies and act as an internal consultant throughout the sourcing process.
+ Contribute to category or sub-category strategies, plans, and sourcing pipelines to support large-scale data center projects.
**What's Needed?**
+ Bachelor’s degree in Business, Accounting, or a related field.
+ 10+ years of experience in procurement or purchasing, with a background in equipment purchasing preferred.
+ Experience supporting large-scale data center projects or similar infrastructure initiatives is a strong advantage.
+ Strong communication, interpersonal, and negotiation skills.
+ Ability to analyze data and make informed decisions to optimize procurement processes.
**Top 3 Must-Have HARD Skills & years of experience for each:**
3-4 years of procurement or contact management experience and Data Center equipment required
