We are seeking a Procurement Specialist to support our Procurement team in delivering high-quality, cost-effective purchasing services across the organization. This position is responsible for executing procurement programs, processing purchase requests, and ensuring compliance with purchasing standards. The Procurement Specialist plays a key role in supporting daily operations, vendor coordination, and the development of efficient procurement processes that support clinical and operational teams.
Key Responsibilities:
Review purchase requisitions for accuracy, completeness, and compliance with contracts and purchasing policies
Process purchase requests and issue purchase orders using established procurement systems
Coordinate with vendors to follow up on goods receipts, resolve invoicing issues, and ensure timely delivery of products and services
Serve as a liaison between facilities and vendors to resolve payment discrepancies, expedite orders, and align requests with contract standards
Assist with the setup of procurement infrastructure for new programs, including ordering, invoicing processes, and reporting systems
Support the team in identifying and implementing operational process improvements
Execute tasks related to Procurement operations, reporting, and administrative support for key initiatives
Perform contract administration duties such as uploading contracts, producing management reports, and maintaining records within the contract management system
About YouRequired Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Demonstrated ability to quickly learn new purchase order and procurement systems
Excellent administrative, organizational, and computer data entry skills
High attention to detail and accuracy in a fast-paced environment
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Excellent customer service and communication skills, both written and verbal
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
General knowledge of computerized inventory and purchasing systems
Education and Experience:
Bachelor’s degree or technical degree preferred
Minimum of three years of progressive experience in procurement involving a range of supplies, materials, and equipment
Strong administrative background with proven data entry accuracy and reliability
Training and Tools:
Familiarity with purchase order systems (ERP or similar platforms)
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite with ability to create templates and reports
