Business Title: Procurement Specialist - Indirect

What will you do?

Scale of ResponsibilitiesSupports cluster leader and category leaders in the execution of category initiatives and projects to deliver key category performance indicators, including: savings, supplier rationalization, low-cost region sourcing, risk management, spend under agreement, joint innovation, supplier performance, etc.Support cluster leader with reporting and communicating key data on performance for the region covering division/sites and categoriesDevelop expertise in the business needs and capabilities for major spend categories and key procurement processes and Source to Pay systems.   Technical ResponsibilitiesReport performance data for assigned categories and/or key business processes.Communicate, monitor, and manage compliance with sourcing strategy and/or business process. Monitor performance of suppliers and ensure that performance issues are intensified appropriately and quickly addressed.Supports supplier business reviews to ensure both parties meet obligations under the terms of agreement, including performance standards and continuous improvement goals.Leadership ResponsibilitiesWork collaboratively and cross-functionally to ensure full understanding and support of strategic sourcing key processes

How will you get here?

Bachelor’s degree in Business or technical field. Master’s Degree is preferred.Minimum of 3 years procurement/sourcing experience in mid to large multinational companies, with strong category/business engagement experience.Business insight – knows how to assess market/business requirements dynamics and negotiate agreements that yield meaningful business valueExperience working in highly regulated industriesExperience in a continuous improvement environment with a track record of achieving significant year over year resultsDemonstrated consultative/collaborative style in performing sourcing activitiesInfluences without authority to motivate and manage a cross-functional team in multiple geographies.CPSM or equivalent is helpfulHands-on manufacturing and/or supply chain experience is preferredExperience in life sciences, medical device, or pharmaceutical industries is preferredAbility to travel 25 to 50%
